It is a promising avenue for research but it has NOT been trialled on humans. Although Ivermectin has been shown to be effective in the laboratory what we do NOT know is what dose is required in humans to kill the virus. It would be worse than useless if the effective dose is lethal.......

National block party street festival and plague parade for those under sixty five without comorbidities.

    Mandatory lockdown for everyone else.

Spread the virus, recover and be done with it.

    Or...

Rolling antibody tests through States, those that test positive are exempted from all emergency restrictions and are free to work roam and help those at risk.

    Cheers.

So, what do we do with those who get sick and need hospitalisation?

Ivermectin is also a worm treatment for cattle and though not approved it is used. on goats and sheep. There is injectable , drench and absorbed through the skin. The dose has been established for cattle but not other livestock as far as I know. I tend to think it would be difficult to overdose. I use the stuff on my goats sometimes because the barberpole worm is immune to other medications. I am doubtful the stuff will work on COVID19. But what do I know?

Nobody but you said they were going to be international.

They are meant ONLY for German citizens, and they will exempt any holder from further quarantine measures INSIDE GERMANY

    Bingo!

I want to see this language in every emergency law, directive and order issued that restricts individual liberty.

Sunset clauses. I'm not seeing them, just the opposite. We're hearing, "we'll never go back to normal", from Governors and State Legislators.

    It's worrisome.

Head lice is it’s main goal - external use but it is often used “off label” orally for “Norwegian” scabies

    You misunderstood.

I just meant "International" Counterfeiting Rings.

Like those who can make perfect duplicates of Passports, etc.

What is to stop these counterfeit artists from making fake "Immunity Certificates" for German Citizens?

    Two problems

    1. We do not know how long the immunity lasts and
    2. You need a reliable antibody test

I've long admired the German mindset and philosophy of life, and of course German machines. :)

On a slight tangent, here in the US they have included sunset clauses in numerous illegitimate legislation like the USA Patriot Act, but then Congress goes on to reauthorize them at sunset time.:eyepopping:

That's a German problem, not mine. At this point in time it is a figment of your imagination, but that does not mean that somebody won't attempt to do that, just as some will attempt to counterfeit money.

The larger point is that it is a most practical way to deal with the ongoing process of acquired natural immunization by way of having the disease and surviving. I know 7 such people, lifetime friends, who are very likely in that situation. Immunized because they suffered through the disease, and then recovered completely. That's biology, is all the Germans are saying.

I was born before there was a vaccine for measles. Before I was 10 I had the measles, I can still remember being covered with red freckles. I don't remember being particularly sick, and my father was an MD.

Because I had the disease and did not die, I became naturally immunized. It is an old and well established biological process.

The Germans are merely acknowledging natural immunity. That's awesome in my book, and you will never hear that even discussed in the terror dispensing fear-mongering mainstream media here in the US.

My understanding is that Australia has a better grip on it than the US does, and I don't read enough Aussie media to be aware of their propaganda efforts and positions.

The system could be created simply, doesn't have to be perfect or permanent. Just a searchable database made by the testing laboratory or doctor.

Gotta get resources moving again, this can't last much longer, weeks maybe, without a visible path out.

    People will explode.

Supply chains will falter, medical supplies will not be produced or delivered. Already seeing scarcity.

Governors will continue to issue more and more restrictive orders and begin enforcing them without due process.

Those that have recovered from Coronavirus are the solution and path out, make this a priority, priority #1.

Government restrictions or control isn't the solution. It's soon to become an impediment.

    Time is of the essence.

Revolt and protest are weeks away, then what?

Teargas? That's the Rubicon and by that point meaningless in the noble desire to protect 80 year olds from a 14% chance of fatality from Coronavirus, or a smaller percentage of those younger but with serious comorbidities.

We're trying but a camp down without end isn't the solution. A clamp down that requires force won't work. People need to see an end and a path out or a bigger more virolent disease will spread.

My thoughts is that the epidemic will reach its maximum, and then naturally subside. Herd immunity is real.

That and the fact that as the number of people infected, die or recover grows it reduces R naught substantially and progressively. The infected viral shedding case finds a dwindling number of susceptible hosts to infect in the time available.

I've suggested care from home. Whoever said they needed hospice care at hospitals? Portable care at homes is something that I think should be done at higher levels in the future, it'll definitely cut down the costs of medicine. Maybe big hospitals will be a thing of the past, or at least limited in its use.

Never needed to go into hospital have you?

Don’t get hospice confused with hospital

The research was an in vitro study that showed it is seemingly effective against a variety of viruses
