I hear that polls show that Trump will be the Republican nominee for President.

Has anyone heard what he thinks about the war in Ukraine?

The last time he was President, he had a pro-Russian stance which would be terrible for our relationship with Ukraine. Why Trump might even end the partnership and let Russia take Ukraine.

Anyone know Trump's stance on Ukraine?

Trump has said he will end the war in one day. He very much would let Ukraine fall to Russia simply because that telephone call got him impeached. He is petty like that.

Last interview I saw, he said he would have been open to giving Russia regions of Ukraine. Similar to his position on the last invasion.

Fox News caught editing out Trump’s brag that he would have let Putin “take over” parts of Ukraine
"I could’ve made a deal to take over something, there are certain areas that are Russian-speaking areas, frankly"

In fact, the US military under Trump changed course and started killing Russian fighters within weeks of Trump's inauguration.
Trump also ordered lethal arms transfers to Ukraine including Javelin missiles that stopped the Russian armored column before it could occupy Kyiv.

"U.S. forces killed scores of Russian mercenaries in Syria last week in what may be the deadliest clash between citizens of the former foes since the Cold War, according to one U.S. official and three Russians familiar with the matter.
More than 200 contract soldiers, mostly Russians
fighting on behalf of Syrian leader Bashar al-Assad, died in a failed attack on a base held by U.S. and mainly Kurdish forces in the oil-rich Deir Ezzor region, two of the Russians said. The U.S. official put the death toll in the fighting at about 100, with 200 to 300 injured, but was unable to say how many were Russians."

The entire corrupt bipartisan American ruling political class has always been willing to negotiate away Ukrainian territory. Ukraine still exists because its determined fighters were able to take out enough Russian armor and troops to stop the initial invasion force. Trump was not in the White House when the US and Europe sat passively to watch Putin seize Crimea.

"For years, Serhiy Leshchenko, a top Ukrainian anti-corruption campaigner, worked to expose kleptocracy under former president Viktor Yanukovich. Now, he is focusing on a new perceived pro-Russian threat to Ukraine: US presidential candidate Donald Trump.

The prospect of Mr Trump, who has praised Ukraine’s arch-enemy Vladimir Putin, becoming leader of the country’s biggest ally has spurred not just Mr Leshchenko but Kiev’s wider political leadership to do something they would never have attempted before: intervene, however indirectly, in a US election."

Nevertheless, Trump, in office, was the first President to give Ukraine the kind of weapons and support needed to stop a Russian invasion which has given Zelensky and Biden an opportunity to achieve an historic victory over Putin's Russian empire.
IMO, the anti-war Republican "conservatives" and Trump will be punished by voters for opposing military support for Ukraine regardless of the outcome of the war.

That's only because he wanted them to stop providing the FBI and the Mueller investigation with 'kompromat" on Paulie Manafort.

Trump was entirely responsible for the decision to strike the Russian mercenaries in Syria and for the lethal arms shipments to Ukraine.

The move from the White House is ***a departure*** from the Obama administration, which frequently condemned Russian aggression in the Ukraine but ***refused to approve the sale of arms*** to the country’s Western-aligned government.”

We have crossed the Rubicon; this is lethal weapons and I predict more will be coming,” a senior congressional official told The Washington Post.

Earlier this year, Defense Secretary James Mattis dismissed criticism that arming Ukraine could be seen as provocative when asked about the Trump administration reviewing the decision.

“Defensive weapons are not provocative unless you’re an aggressor, and clearly, Ukraine is not an aggressor, since it’s their own territory where the fighting is happening,” he said in August."

And, the reason why Trump did this was to shut up Paulie Manafort re the Mueller investigation, see link in post#9.

Trump has become a bit squishy on Ukraine. Probably because many "conservative" Republican think they can gain some political traction with and anti-war strategy, and Trump needs their support.

LOL! Read my posts. I am very pro-Biden with respect to Ukraine.
JRB, is fortunate that DJT provided the lethal arms to Ukraine needed to stop the invasion last February.
