AOC’s Chief of Staff Admits the Green New Deal Is Not about Climate Change
    July 12, 2019

Representative Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez’s chief of staff Saikat Chakrabarti admitted recently that the true motivation behind introducing the Green New Deal is to overhaul the “entire economy.”

Chakrabarti said that addressing climate change was not Ocasio-Cortez’s top priority in proposing the Green New Deal during a meeting with Washington governor Jay Inslee.

“The interesting thing about the Green New Deal, is it wasn’t originally a climate thing at all,” Chakrabarti said to Inslee’s climate director, Sam Ricketts, according to a Washington Post reporter who attended the meeting for a profile published Wednesday.

“Do you guys think of it as a climate thing?” Because we really think of it as a how-do-you-change-the-entire-economy thing,” he added.

AOC conjured up the Green New Deal as a way to transform the US into a successful socialist country like the USSR, Cuba, Venezuela, and North Korea.

We heard before how easy it is to play Democrat voters for fools. Jonathan Gruber laid out the details of how Democrat voters were played by Obama to sell Obamacare.

Pushing an ideology of theft and backing it with a hoax like global warming. Could liberals be any more dishonest?

Certainly important to focus on economic change. We know that we can't continue as we are doing, given its inconsistency with sustainability. However, there is more at play here. There is also an opportunity, for example, to invigorise manufacturing and SMEs

Based on government ownership of the means of production? Worked for Stalin, Fidel and Maduro, and the people they murdered for disagreeing with them, huh?

She just can’t seem to keep the cat in the bag on any issue. It’s really kind of refreshing after knowing we’re being lied to for decades. :)

Interesting to see how little this major revelation got in the media. Very telling of how Alexandria Occasional Cortez is managed.

Link to your evidence that Trump wants to emulate the USSR - that Democrats favored over the US when Reagan was POTUS, Cuba that Democrats betrayed Cuban Americans who survived Fidel by propping up Raul's economy, Venezuela who's then leader claimed Obama was far left of ,,, and North Korea who Trump is pressuring to give up nukes.

You made a claim. Back it up.

The Green New Deal (in it's totality, as currently comprised) is a 100% Non-Starter.

So who even cares what that guy said?

So, the 3400 plus universities, the military and all the major corps and every other country
in the world, are wrong. But, you’re right.

3400 universities that support the dubious notion of man caused but I am certain that there are 3400 Universities that do not at all mind the idea of the government siphoning ever more money out of the economy as long as they get some of it.

Oh, so you think 3400 universities agree that we are in dire straits as far as the environment is concerned, but we should sit back and do nothing about it.

Actually, they believe like all smart people would, that its much cheaper to invest in planet mitigating technology now, then pay for the catastrophic damages later.

    No problem:
    https://www.nationalreview.com/news...e-green-new-deal-is-not-about-climate-change/
The Green New Deal, proposed earlier this year by Ocasio-Cortez and Senator Ed Markey (D., Mass.), would transition the U.S. economy entirely away from fossil fuels within ten years while simultaneously providing a federal jobs and healthcare guarantee. It would also, according to its proponents, advance “social, economic, racial, regional and gender-based justice and equality and cooperative and public ownership.”

    That was easy. Your turn.

You’re absolutely wrong, they all support policies to invest in migrating AGW. They aren’t stupid. That’s where the jobs and money is, clean energy. You think coal is coming back ? Really ?

The majority of Americans are for everyone of these items including , cooperative and public ownership in housing for the poor and homeless. Guess what, we’ve been doing this for years.
So you want to continue polluting the planet ? You don't believe in racial equality ? None of it is new except the emphasis on green jobs and technology. Expanding public housing is not good ?
    You’re anti American.

    That phenomenon is explained here:

    https://climateaudit.org/2015/09/28/shuklas-gold/

Roger Pielke Jr recently made the remarkable discovery that, in addition to his university salary from George Mason University (reported by Pielke as $250,000), Jagadish Shukla, the leader of the #RICO20, together with his wife, had received a further $500,000 more in 2014 alone from federal climate grants funnelled through a Shukla-controlled “non-profit” (Institute for Global Environment and Security, Inc.), yielding total income in 2014 of approximately $750,000.

Actually, the numbers are even worse than Pielke thought.

    • Pielke had quoted Shukla’s 2013 university salary, but his university salary had increased more than 25% between 2013 and 2014: from $250,816 in 2013 to $314,000 in 2014.
    • In addition, the “non-profit” organization had also employed one of Shukla’s children (not reported, but say $90,000); and,
    • IGES transferred $100,000 from its climate grants to a second corporation controlled by the Shukla family (the Institute for Global Education Equality of Opportunity and Prosperity, Inc.), which in turn transferred $100,000 to an educational charity in Shukla’s home town in India, doubtless a worthy charity, but one that Shukla could have supported from his own already generous stipend.

Over a million dollars in total in 2014 alone.

In addition, Shukla’s long-time associate, James Kinter, participated in the same double dip, though on a less grandiose scale. Kinter, also a Professor at George Mason, doubled his 2014 university salary of $180,038 with $171,320 from IGES, for a total 2014 income of $351,358.

Shukla went so far as leading RICO initiative to attack the First Amendment in order to protect his ill gotten booty.

Hilarious. Based on one conservative blog.
You’re smarter then everyone else in the world.
You’re smarter then MIT and NASA.
Every university In the world is in on it. Wow. You must be bold or delusional.

McIntyre is the statistician who caught former NASA climate alarmist James E. Hansen when Hansen attempted to cook climate data. McIntyre is not a blogger. He's an expert in areas pertinent to understanding how the climate changed over the millennia. If anything NASA was home to bloggers like James Hansen, publishing opinion and characterizing it as scientific evidence.

Universities have been cesspools of indoctrination.

You know nothing about science do you ? You’ll listen to several quacks rather then 3400 institutions all using consensus science. Trumpets are so gullible.

His credentials mean nothing next to one institution backed by the work of hundreds in the field. 3400 research and educational institutions, all the fortune 500 companies in related fields, our own and every other military in the world and the pope. Literally, every country, Trumps own intel and climate advisors are all into AGW. It’s the-idiot servant himself that plays the fool.
