why do you guys insist on making strawman arguments?

 

Your "illegals" have always been here at the behest of, and as a result of, the lobbying efforts of the Wall Street/donor/"job creator" class. Perhaps you're being walled in.

 

This has been a problem since Reagan's day. Why hasn't Congress done anything about it? It's only been 30+ ****ing years.

 

So how many immigrants climb the ladder and slither across the top of the purposely unfriendly top of the forty foot wall so the next one can come up until the ladder is hoisted to the other side and then they all slither back to the ladder or the ladder gets moved to every one individually? Most of these people are fat or very young children or overweight women, some even pregnant. You think these illegals are all athlete's? A bunch of Tarzan's?

How can you deny a sick or injured person, especially a child medical care? As for education it's the liberals that insist we educate the children and in a way they are right. What can you do once their here?let them do nothing but sit around and get involved in gangs and drugs? We need to keep them out in the first place, that's the solution.

You implied the coast guard couldn't stop people in rubber rafts from floating around the wall. If they can't who can? What's your plan?

 

That's what should be done but it's politically impossible and won't happen so the reality of the situation is to stop them from crossing the border in the first place.

 

You know I'd really like to see this guy sitting at his computer full of bluster actually do what he claims would be so easy. My guess is he'd freeze at the top of the ladder and not be able to transition to the wall if he even got that far. LOL

One person or even a couple of amateurs would have problems. A professional coyote probably not. The OP article pointed out single "commandos" having problems but when they worked with another, it became much easier.

I'm thinking a ladder truck strong enough to lift a narrow cargo net or rope ladder over the wall. Add big tires and 4-wheel drive so it can move around to various locations. Pick nights where there is little moon or an overcast. Better if it's raining, but that might cause problems for the truck depending on the terrain.

 

Why can't it be done? I'm guessing the problem goes deeper than what we are discussing. Look at how many Republican administrations we've been through and nothing has been fixed. Yes, we can blame the ****ing Democrats, but that excuse runs thin after 30+ years. IMO, without any facts proving it otherwise, the wall is a waste of money. Start arresting employers.

Voter ID exists in several states. If people have an ID to vote, then certainly an employer can ask to see it before hiring them. Same goes for a renter or real estate agent before renting or selling to anyone.

 

In areas such as that where a truck could drive right up to the wall there would be corresponding officer presence to thwart it. The more rugged and remote areas are difficult to traverse even on foot much less in a rig like that. I grew up in that country and spent countless hours hunting all along the border areas with my dad on the weekends so I'm very familiar with it. I don't think most people can really fathom how rugged most if this terrain is.

 

One of the reasons the drug mules carry 50lbs of drugs on their backs and move in on foot is because vehicles are easy to spot.

Simply putting motion sensors and electronics along the wall will easily enable them to detect any vehicle approaching.

The point of the wall is to force them to find other ways around, where they have to invest more time and resources.

Having these physical barriers works. It's worked in San Diego, in Israel, walls are going up all over Europe to stop migrant swarms.

 

Why do you insist on imagining a giant wall would not be a deterrent to illegals? It seems ridiculous.

 

If a conservative sees a homeless man in the street, he will reach into his own pocket, take out a dollar and give it to him. if a liberal sees a homeless man in the street, he will reach into someone else's pocket, take out a dollar and give it to him, then after the photo-op, take it back
