    I hope so.

But I fear that they're not because, Freedom of Expression is the only thing I could find in the EU's Human Rights along the lines of Freedom of Speech when I looked today.

    Just now when looking; https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Freedom_of_speech
I know that I'm covered... But it's always nice to see it in writing :)
Concepts of freedom of speech can be found in early human rights documents.[10] England's Bill of Rights 1689 legally established the constitutional right of 'freedom of speech in Parliament' which is still in effect.

A thread in Western Europe on here by another user spoke of a practise I had heard about before in Germany.
It seems to me I have Freedom of Speech because I'm British, and the EU Rights of Human Rights, at best, have Freedom of Expression (Article 10, Freedom of Expression, EU Human Rights Act) and with the practise of this

could very well mean Freedom of Speech in Europe is States Rights.
    • Germany do this (the above link)
    • Poland are melting down having state television in Poland controlled by the same party ridding itself of EU corruption in the country's judicial.

Freedom of expression usually applies to the arts...

... the freedom to sculpt or paint whatever one chooses.

So, in EU countries with out it/Freedom of Speech, you can't say what you like but can express what you can say how you like.

I'm glad I'm British right now.

"Are Freedom of Expression and Freedom of Speech the same?"

No, that's like saying a peach pit is a peach. Freedom of speech is a subset of freedom of expression, and freedom of expression is a subset of freedom, they are not the same.

So why does Europe want the freedom of movement but not the freedom of speech? To anyone here who's still pro EU.

Well they’re entirely different concepts so there’s no reason to presume they somehow rely on each other.

Regardless, no freedom is unconditional; I have freedom of movement but that doesn’t mean I can go in to your house uninvited or wander down the middle of a highway, I have freedom of speech but that doesn’t mean I can libel or threaten people and I have freedom of expression but that doesn’t mean I can play the drums under your bedroom window at 3am or dance naked in a school playground.
