except I don't see any advertisements for guns except in gun or hunting magazines. not kids shows-not media that kids usually consume. Kids cannot buy guns legally.
I think I have already established that the list of products that are not legally purchased until 18 or 21, and the list of products that get targeted to youth market are not identical to anyone's satisfaction except 'Reality'. That is because the role of targeting is to increase a broader market and more active interest to purchase, not 'legal' sales because the former will inflate demand regardless and thus enhance sales and manufacture. The fact you have not noticed such efforts, just tells me that they were not targeted with your attention in mind, that you may not be the most astute of observers on such practices, and how subtle they may be, and that you may not have put a whole lot of effort into your search.
See revised post #55. Again, why on earth would you have any reason to believe that gun manufactures, and shops etc would NOT be targeting kids when every economic incentive in capitalism virtually demands that they do?
All those "studies" do is say things like well its flavored so obviously targeted towards kids. Because adults don't like things that taste nice. Stop clutching your pearls and step in to the light
that is not proof that they do. its a weak argument on your part. and I am far deeper in the gun culture than you are and I have never seen any ads catering children
The site is biased as ****. The #1 demographic becoming gun owners is women. They finally realize that guns are an equalizer. Gun ownership gives them power over their own defense. Who's marketing gun violence to children is the gaming industry. Don't blame the gun industry for this.
Can minors buy guns now? Guns are marketed to adults for the purpose of teaching their children safety and marksmanship. The Ruger 22 is a great rifle for children and the Walther P22 is a great pistol for kids. My daughter was shooting a 44mag by age 12.
I was a member of the NRA and loading my own 12 gauge rounds by age 12. I started shooting I think at age 5. But nobody was marketing weapons to children. And we know what a great job people do with kids and guns.
