It tells you exactly why in your own link.

The US is against supporting abortion on a worldwide scale and condoning it.

That is not our role, that is up to each individual nation to decide, not the global community.

The US has no authority to tell other nations what to do which is the basis of our veto of it.

It's basically us telling the UN to quit dictating laws to the rest of the world.

And you think that's a bad thing?

Yes, Trump derangement syndrome is alive and well. The United States had threatened a veto saying the wording amounted to support for abortion. Also, "Washington never ratified the 1998 Rome Statute which created the court and has long insisted the ICC has no jurisdiction over US military personnel."

Who was President in 1998? William Jefferson Clinton, the leader of the free world then, who was in support of rape. No surprise, Juanita Broaddrick claims that Clinton raped her during his 1978 campaign for Arkansas governor.

    Rape+abortion = two wrongs don't make a right.

That is a different scenario as the abortion discussion in general.
    Please respect this special circumstance.

You got it wrong; rape and forced child bearing = two wrongs don’t make it right, nor a right—she’s a woman, not a breeding cow.

There is no right to be born. It’s an absurdity and a contradiction—potentials have no choice, only the actual, actually do.
