There are 3 books that I know of that are named or nicknamed after the color of their cover. All 3 are political books.

    They are:

    Gaddafi's Green Book

Quotations from Chairman Mao Tse-Tung (the Little Red Book)

The Orange Book. This book was written by several contributions from members of the Liberal Democrats (a political party in the United Kingdom)

Does anyone know of a blue book, yellow book or purple book?

Recently I have been reading various religious texts. I want to expand that to reading important political documents. I will use this thread to discuss reading political texts. In addition to the three books I listed, there are other political books on my to-read list.

    They are:

Rukhnama (a political bible written/compiled by late Turkmen dictator Sapamurat Niyazov)

    The Communist Manifesto

The United States Constitution (I'm very curious to see why THIS constitution is held in such high reverence)

Mein Kampf (This one will be a chore to read through for more than one reason)

I'm currently reading several political books of less significance. One is a collection of speeches and excerpts of writings by Lenin which is called Introduction to Marx-Engels-Marxism. Another I read is the constitution of Indonesia.
