    To answer the OP "No"

Fortunately almost all who fantasize about a "civil war" are rightwing racists who dream of "taking back the country from the blacks, feminists, Hispanics, etc."....

but 99% of them are physical cowards who "fight" their "revolutions" and "armed revolts"....

    from behind a keyboard. :D

I've heard several people on political message boards speak of a race war. It seems like I'm hearing it more and more these last few years.

You can thank ignorant racists putting ideas into this kid's head for this killing. President Obama had nothing to do with it.

It's the exact same kind of thinking from 80 years ago, where white racists tried to blame lynchings on "blacks getting too uppity."

Well I don't know about other boards, but this is a fairly large one. Is that a thing on this board? I've missed it somehow.

I've seen more and more people on message boards claiming the lizard people run the world... what's your point?

Currently, Americans are too complacent to do any kind of an uprising.

Well civil war certainly would be profitable for many powerful people in this country. I hope it wouldn't come to that, but what civil war did people really plan? An issue comes up that is divisive enough and war ensues. I think our politicians sure try to push us to the absolute brink. It will be interesting to see if they ever push us that far. While other countries fight for food, water, shelter... We would fight over our already pretty cushy lifestyle.

    The quick answer is no.

There may be some civil unrest due to the coming recession, but the government will repress the civil unrest with a combination of unreasonable force and pacification.

The people are not intelligent enough to really understand what has been done to them so they cannot unite behind a common cause. In addition they have been domesticated over the centuries and are not really capable of mounting any kind of serious rebellion.

The government and the corporate rulers of this country basically farm the general populous. They long ago domesticated the vast majority of the population and have been exploiting them ever since. They control what the learn, and what they think. Like domesticated farm animals, the majority just want to exist in comfort and are afraid of freedom or having to be self reliant.

The wealthy like irresponsible teenagers, have been allowed to abuse the farm animals without regard to the consequence's.

Even farm animals become irritated and discontent when their comfort and sustenance is taken away. The government knows that if the people become discontent, their productivity will be reduced and that will mean less wealth for both the wealthy and the government.

As discontent grows in the ongoing recession, government will step in and put some restraints on the system as they did during the great depression.

They will implement more socialism as they always do when the people become discontented and like during the depression, they will force the wealthy to pay for it in higher taxes.

If this tactic proves to be insufficient as it was in the great depression, the government will instigate a foreign war by way of a false flag event. This will refocus the attention of the farm animals on a created enemy and create the need for lots of new industrial production and a simultaneous, and possible permanent reduction in the work force rebalancing the supply / demand ratio for labor.
