It is like unto Golf clubs, there are different clubs for different shots, , Wood, Irons, Putters, you do not use the same club for every shot. Same goes for Guns.
Well you don't typically hunt deer with the same gun you hunt turkey. Some have historical value as a collectors item, some are best used for defense.
Yup, and some have different guns for different types of deer hunting--for example, in the southeast, we often run deer with dogs--have to use a shotgun. Most of us wouldn't choose a shotgun for hunting from an elevated stand, though. That said, I don't think Steady was trying to say that we should only have one or two guns. I think his point was that after you own a gun, what does it matter how many you own? You can't use them all simultaneously.
never heard of Dems wanting any such thing... I have heard republicans wanting to take guns and voting rights away from ex-felons, but that is about it
I do. Hard to hit targets at 600yds with a handgun. Hard to shoot birds on the wing with a rifle. Hard to conceal a shotgun under my sweatshirt .
One a felon, always a felon. Federal law ( passed by Dems in 1968 ) removes gun rights from a felon; states can pass laws to reinstate those rights.
I have guns that I never shoot but are just collecters items. I wouldn't give a correct answer on any survey. CCW has been tagged at something like 2% to 5% depending on the area. Even then, most CCW holders don't carry daily.
You may only be able to use one gut at a time. However, there are many uses for guns, each of which may require a different gun.
Oh, I'm not saying there aren't many different uses for guns, I own several myself. I was saying that there's no benefit to prohibiting ownership of multiple guns, since an active shooter can only pull two triggers at once.
I disagree, once you have paid your debt back to society, your a free American again, and as such all your rights should be restored removed by both repubs and dems, but as you can see, I believe in the 2nd more then most repubs or dems, I think it's a right to own a gun, not a privilege .
Your opinion does not override the law. And thus, your statement that "I have heard republicans wanting to take guns and voting rights away from ex-felons" has no bassis in fact.
nor does yours... but my opinion is laws taking away the 1st or 2nd Amendments rights of free Adult Americans is wrong, your free to disagree with me .
I didn't state an opinion -- I recited the law. Fact remains: your statement that "I have heard republicans wanting to take guns and voting rights away from ex-felons" has no basis in fact.
