my opinion is laws taking away the 1st or 2nd Amendments rights of free Adult Americans is wrong, your free to disagree with me
still doesn't make it right.... your opinion here does not matter. <-- see I can be rude too like I said, your free to support the gun grabbers, it's your choice, reading your signature though I would of thought you supported the 2nd Amendment .
Fact remains: your statement that "I have heard republicans wanting to take guns and voting rights away from ex-felons" has no basis in fact.
So you think violent convicts with long rap sheets that have been released way to early from prison, should legally be able to own firearms and acquire carry licenses?
I think they should get lwop.... punishment comes during sentencing... that is how it works if they are released early, leave them on probation for life, then you can restrict their guns as they are not free Americans .
I couldn't agree more that we need justice system reform that keeps violent criminals behind bars for lengthy sentences and no early release.
If they are subject to early release they have a much greater chance of being killed in a justified act of self defense. Then they cannot offend any further.
I remember that scene! I guess it all depends on how you view things. Me, I rather have it and not need it, then need it and not have it.
Seventeen, cough... Seventeen, seriously? Now that is one crazy stat. If they had said "a hundred," I would have said, "Yea, ok." I might classify those as super gun owners. (I know several in this category.) But, first of all, only what, maybe ten to thirty percent of all firearms are actually documented? And what's even more surprising to all of us is how much Hillary is now driving guns sales; gun sales have seriously ramped up over the last year or so.
Why quote a UK newspaper? Our relationship with guns is entirely different from the ground up so why pay any attention to what UK newspaper thinks? We know that Americans love guns, we don't, but we know you do. If you like guns then happy days, if they make you feel protected then good for you! Just stop worrying about what other people think, especially from lands far, far away.
That is why they are Subjects and We are Citizens, their society is predicated on serving a King, and being servile and docile and subject to the King's wishes and whims.
So, you speak for everyone, the collective "WE", what ineffable twaddle, how is it that paltry little swats simply want to re-write the best bits of history. England made the finest Firearms, founded the NRA and all shooting sports and specialized hunting and now that entire heritage is simply dismissed ? All that pride in Craftsmanship of some of the finest double Rifles and Shotguns ever made ? No love of Guns ? What about Holland & Holland ? Makers of the finest hunting Guns and World renowned. Maybe there is no love of Guns for you younger computer based game playing teens, playin your War themed games, however, there must be some older folks left in England still, that remember the Good old days and shooting fine guns.
Did you know that Custer of " Last Stand" fame probably carried at least one, if not two British Webley Bulldog RIC revolvers as his sidearm(s) when that miserable Yankee got his ticket punched. The what happened to Custer's weapons is a huge mystery and they were never recovered including his non-standard Remington hunting rifle and knife. Lt. Edward Godfrey states that Custer had two chromed pearl handled pistols with ivory grips and lanyards at the Little Big Horn. However, Custer was known to possess and photographed with a single blued model without ivory grips or lanyard. THAT weapon is missing from his collection and has never been accounted for. In addition, no Webley cartridge cases were recovered from the battlefield, including Last Stand Hill.
