As long as the Eagles win because I'm really, really sick of the Pats being in the same spot year after year.

I see the local grocery is having a "Big Game Sale" on all sorts of horribly unhealthy foods and junkfoods.

Going to my normal watering hole more just for that party than the game. Saints fan and have no dawg in this hunt other than I hope Brady gets beat and not another 4th quarter 21 point come back because the opposing defense falls apart.

More people need to become conscious of what they consume and how it impacts their health. You ever notice just how many of us are unhealthy porkers?

""""“When we see the enthusiasm, it makes it all worth it,” Goodell said.""""

Well, ya, and brainwashing the next generation of idiots who'll pay thousands to watch a game (and pay more taxes to make up for all the tax breaks the stadium owners and others got) and make the wealthy wealthier...

For the record, I opposed public financing of that football stadium. Ditto for other pro sports venues here in the Twin Cities. However, since people opted to pay for it, we might as well get the money back. One way to do so is the Super Bowl which will generate over $600 million with a large portion going back into the Twin Cities. We will soon have a NCAA Final Four game here as well which will also generate much $.

I certainly agree that there is no sense in paying money just to see rich people get richer. But let's smarten up by taking advantage of opportunities to get back several large portions of that pie.

I won't watch it. But I am pleasantly surprised that so many others are likewise not watching.

The super bowl is little more than a marketing tool for companies willing to pony up big bucks to hawk their wares. You have an all day pregame show with tons of advertising followed by the main event. The main event IS the commercials. They are broken up by some football in between to get the guys to watch with a mini concert by a pop star of the moment in the middle for some variety.

I'm 63 and never missed one. No plans to miss one as long as I am above ground. Never miss World Series games either or Final rounds of Masters, US Open or British Open...And I don't give a rat's ass if the players juggle naked during the National Anthem as long as they play hard once the game starts...To me one of the great things about America is it's rich sports history...So much greatness on display....Babe Ruth, Johnny Unitas, Walter Hagen, Ted Williams, Joe Montana, Jack Nicklaus, And the guys today will become sports immortals also..

They will be coloring instead. Most of them are old men who haven't watched football in years.
Game is to fast for them.

BTW - a great 1st qtr so far.

It's faster than baseball, but really slow compared to hockey, soccer, or a bass tournament.

Yes, but too fast for the old folks who can only remember running the football.
They can't keep up with today's NFL. That's why they need their coloring book.

Why do Canadians like to have sex doggy-style? So they can both watch the hockey game. :)

    Philly wins 41-33!

Good game - lots of yardage by both QBs. Win decided at the last possible second as Brady's Hail Mary pass failed at the end zone.

Am surprised Belichick did not give the ball to FB Develin or allow him a bigger role in the game. Perhaps he was hurt but it wasn't reported to the sports media.

I thought Philly defense gave too much space to Pats receivers, esp to Gronkowski - this enabled them to get extra yardage and score TD which could have been restricted to FGs. Brady got over 500 yards! Philly DE Brandon Graham forced a fumble which was recovered by Derek Barnett - that was the turning point for Eagles win. Lots of heroes on both sides.

Those who missed the Super Bowl can watch replays on you tube or some other source. Glad to have watched my 52d SB in a row!!!

That was actually a great game. But thank God the Eagles won because I couldn't deal with another Patriots win 2 years in a row, I just couldn't.

Also, Chris Collinsworth needs to shut the fck up because all he did for most of the game was stroke Brady's ego.

Collinsworth also failed to note that NE defensive backs got away with more than just a few holds on Philly receivers in the end zone. But, I guess, justice was served when Philly won.
