A judge has ordered the arrest of former President Cristina Fernandez de Kirchner, who was President of the country from 2007-2015. She, along with her foreign minister at the time, Hector Timerman, is accused of interfering with the investigation of the infamous 1994 bombing of a Jewish center in Buenos Aires by Hezbollah operatives allegedly connected to Iran. This goes back to a special prosecutor Alberto Nisman who accused the President and the foreign minister of covering up Iranian suspects in the case. The special prosecutor was later found dead under suspicious circumstances.
