A judge has ordered the arrest of former President Cristina Fernandez de Kirchner, who was President of the country from 2007-2015. She, along with her foreign minister at the time, Hector Timerman, is accused of interfering with the investigation of the infamous 1994 bombing of a Jewish center in Buenos Aires by Hezbollah operatives allegedly connected to Iran.

This goes back to a special prosecutor Alberto Nisman who accused the President and the foreign minister of covering up Iranian suspects in the case. The special prosecutor was later found dead under suspicious circumstances.

The Senate will now vote on whether to remove her immunity from judicial prosecution.
