I think the people protesting outside her office and of course all the businesses who voiced their concerns had a big impact on her decision. lol

LOL, you could be right though in this case the ends certainly justified the means.

Brewer has only the good sense to know the RNC would cut off her post-gubenatorial speaking fees, if she didn't sign that bill.

She's a rightwing demogogue who would have loved to have been able to sign that bill....but not a totally stupid one.

She's been surprising me quite a bit lately, much to the chagrin of the Arizona Nazi Party.

Correction to my above post...."the RNC would cut off her post-gubenatorial speaking fees, if she didn't VETO that bill."

The National Party Boys see no future in pandering to homophobia anymore. Doesn't win them any votes among the homophobes they didn't already have....costs them votes of Moderates and Independents who aren't antipathetic to gay rights.

    Arizona's Governor is no hero.

The political pressures and consequences were looming; she did what was politically convenient. The morality and political impetus of many Americans at-large, saved AZ from that disgusting law, not Jan Brewer.

Wanted to make sure that fewer people see her as a virtuous leader; because she isn't all-that.
