You just defined your president as lacking the character that we want from a president. You, me, and your cousins can say what we want to say in just about any mannervwe want but the POTUS should not personably attack anyone. Well, msybe a North Korean.

It's creating another controversy and a divide amongst Americans. The President needs to unite us, he needs to bring this country together under a common mission, a common purpose. Otherwise, are we going to continue responding like this for the next 3 1/2 years of his presidency?

Ya know, Tres ... Why do I stand? Why do I cover my heart?

Because of men like your great uncle. It's out of respect to him and to all of them.

John McCain was a war hero in a war that liberals hated

No one can take that away from him although the left tried to during the 2008 presidential campaign

They trashed his war record then and I defended him

    But McCain is no saint

As a politician he is a liar and a character assassin

I say that because in 2006 he accused Americans who resisted giving amnesty fo illegal of being anti hispanic bigots

Later when he was up for reelection to the senate he did an about face and famously said "Just builld the dang fence"

So don't cry too many fake tears for John McCain

    He's not worth it

Well I am sort of a rebel so I have always saluted during the anthem not just when I was in my Veterans organization uniform. Those of us who are retired military are allowed to wear our uniforms on certain occasions of course I would have to buy one since somewhere somehow Inam no longer a 32 inch waste or 36 inch regular suit jacket LOL

No. I defined an action that you and our president have both taken. I do respect Villanueva.

    My friend,

Kaepernick is a role model, just like the president is. Remember dick Clinton hanging his dirty ****** on a National TV, turning Oval Office into an Oral Orifice? What are role models for the youngsters these two are :brushteeth:

McCain is no Saint in your opinion because he did not vote or support all the policies or bills that you do/did.

It was political last year when Kaepernick showed his solidarity with the “Pigs in a blanket, fry 'em like bacon” crowd.

Your definition of freedom and mine are very different. Every single player on that team had the same right to do what this man did or not to do what he did. Its about weighing what their direct supervisor expects from them on the company dime, and what they want to do on the company dime.

Political correctness is nothing new. Its the same old social conditioning and social / cultural expectations being communicated, as they were in Victorian Britain, in 19th century in Italy and France, and in the bathhouses of Rome. They all had 'popular culture' to worry about.

In twentieth century America, the 'pc' thing to do at a sports event was to stand at attention, look patriotic and put your hand over your heart when the anthem was played. Some folks recently decided to ignore political correctness and bend down on one knee in protest. They are feeling the heat for it. And you are part of that 'heat'.

You mean Trump who supported the right of f**king nazi and KKK to march carrying the nazi flag that flew over an American enemy that killed thousands of American troops but freaked out over peaceful protest by NFL players - that Trump?

Just so you don't get confused here, Danial. If white conservative folks are trying to enforce their social standards of behavior on others, that is teaching patriotism and respect for our veterans etc. Now if liberals or darker skinned types are trying to enforce a different or newer social standard of behavior that is called 'political correctness' and it leads to ruin and decline in our country. The former is very very good. The latter is very very bad. That is why what Trump did was consistent with the best of America, and why what these football players are doing is a pile of PC crap.

Trump denounced the Nazis, KKK members and other assorted racists who demonstrated in Charlottesville. His line about "very fine people" was referencing the people who simply want to preserve history.

I'm no Trump apologist and I don't think he handled that situation as well as he could have. But let's not put words into his mouth or try to associate him with far right hate groups.

Then I can imagine the scoldings. "No, young padawans. You're supposed to make us SYMPATHETIC in the eyes of the media, not scorned." Lol. I bet if there was a poll on "who do you side with: The President, or the protesters", more would slightly side with the President. Why? Because they're not protesting racial injustice, they're protesting a flag.

The US Flag at that, and our anthem. They're protesting "being American." Yeah, good luck ever gettiing that at a positive approval rating.

The anti police wackos thought the public would adore them for disrespecting the flag but soon found out otherwise.

Now they are backtracking but its too late
