You should probably listen to his press conference yesterday. He apologized to his team. Admitted that he caused the confusion and lack of unity, by lack of communication and the way he handled it. He also said the entire team was standing within feet of him, and if they had known what he was going to do, they would have likely come right to him as a show of support.

Staying in the locker room for the anthem violates NFL rules.
If the commissioner had the same passion for the rules in this case as he does when someone wears a Reebok T-shirt during a press conference, the entire team would have been fined.

I wasn't after McCain's words. You claimed 'the left' had denigrated his service. Presumably there is some evidence of that. I'd like to see if Democrats have treated McCain as badly as his own Republican party. Thus far GOP Presidential rivals have made false allegations about his adopted daughter and denigrated his war service. You don't seem at all concerned by that.
