Consensus in scientific disciplines is achieved by the rigorous, repeated testing of hypotheses to explain observable phenomena, and the accrual and analysis of data that produces consistent results.

Thus, the theories of general gravity, Darwinian evolution, and anthropogenic climate change are all accorded overwhelming, near-universal, acceptance by experts in their respective fields, despite a fringe element of deniers, often motivated by ideological beliefs, not scientific conclusions.

Of course, science is relentlessly self-analytical, and constantly subjected to refinement and revision as new and pertinent information is developed. Ideological dogma does not have such an inherent corrective mechanism.

 

And you know they know what they're doing how, exactly?

None of which you are competent to interpret for yourself, by your own testimony.

Assuming you refer to the inferiority of measuring devices in the past, to focus on that is to seriously underestimate the problem, because a state of the art thermometer won't provide very useful information about global temps if it's the only one covering an area of, say, 10,000 square miles; and my guess is that a century ago, there were plenty of areas bigger than that served by a single reporting station.

Problem for you is the CO2 hypothesis is not falsifiable so FAIL.

The potholer54 actually has many videos reporting what the science actually says and debunking many of the claims in the videos you posted and he backs up his statements with actual evidence from real bona-fide scientists.

 

Unlike politicians and preachers, it makes absolutely no difference what scientists believe. Only thing that matters in Science is what they can prove. And 100% of peer-reviewed studies (not "a majority" but all peer-reviewed studies in the last 15 years) prove that Anthropogenic Climate Change is a scientific fact. There issiimply no scientific dispute. There is only a political dispute with the scientifically challenged..
