sorry to bump an old thread but shouldn't taking care of your physiological needs take precedent over college or any sexual thing you're dealing with? Get out there and work 2 jobs, get a place and be stable, then maybe start taking night courses or on-line courses and develop a plan. You can always have the lopmydickoffme surgery at a later date but dang man, get yourself stable, safe and secure before puttng your emotional baggage as the priority.

Only you can take care of you and stop thinking that anyone else has a responsibility to take care of you; you're an adult and need to deal with adult problems.

Again, get yourself a couple of jobs and then a roof over your head; everything else can wait.

    See, you are wrong.

    It is not bigotry.

People see what you are on the outside, not what you feel like inside.

If I said I wanted to date you, and I am actually old homely and fat, but told you I feel 22 and very attractive inside, you would rightly laugh in my face.

Many People are attracted to types, sometimes called preferences, and are not attracted to others, and I am sure you have certain preferences too, or you would not be Trans.

In 1973, nobody knew anything about Trans, and most People had no clue about LG either, and bisexual was perhaps a thing talked in whispers and in pure ignorance in the Dark ages before the Internet.

This is a more Enlightened age as far as LGBT issues as there are many resources and more information than existed in 1973.....

Do you personally think that I am terribly incorrect to feel that the Helen Wambach Ph. D. research has
a great deal to do with somebody feeling that their true self is a different sex from the body that they are in?

Parapsychology and whether or not LGBT community were born that way?

So, what you are saying is that your whole transgender identity is founded on this very innocent experience you had as a teenager of wanting to dress up as a female character on Halloween this one time only?

Not to be rude or anything, but it sounds as if you are making a mountain out of a molehill here. I don't mean to be disrespectful, but this simplistic explanation you have given us sounds very much as if you are just confused by contemporary discourse and think this one, single experience means you are transgender.

Surely there must be more to it?

Most transgenders tell stories of always feeling different and always struggling all the way from early childhood. And you had one experience with Halloween in junior high? That is like me saying I might be trans because I prefered playing with the female character, 'Jun' in Tekken 2 when I was 8.

Transgenderism is complex and most likely a pre-natal "condition" that has to do with hormonal development in the womb.

    There is another facet too,
Notice that Normal Males have nipples and undeveloped breasts, that will lactate if Estrogen is introduced.

Does that in and of itself tell you something about Gender possibilities ?

If a Normal man has fully functional albeit dormant female breasts, what else is likely ?
And yes, those man nipples are a fully erogenous zone and function as well as a woman's nipples as far as pleasure goes.....

It stands to reason that other female traits can exist within a Normal Man.
In the Reptile primitive brain, likely where the actual male / female nesting and hunting hardwired behaviours are centered.
Chickens are hard wired as far as male and female behaviour with crossover noted.

Hens that crow like a Rooster ( male )
Roosters that want to hatch out eggs.
    I observed this myself.....
    Transgender chickens.

    People want to fight, so they will fight over the stupidest things, example, in the old Star Trek, there was an episode;
"Let this be your final battleground."

And two men, had both black and white faces, half and half, one guy was black on the left half, visa versa.

Pretty silly how they both fought over it.

The people fighting do not want easy access to bathrooms, they want a stupid fight.

When the solution is simple, non gender specific bathrooms for individuals, we had them before, so there are no communal
    multi-stalled bathrooms.

Because why make a law if you can't actually enforce it at all? Its just a waste of everyone's time.

Not debatable. There’s overwhelming evidence that conversion therapy drastically increases suicide risk. Acceptance correlates with decreased risk. Moreover, relapse rates with conversion therapy are near total. Either you revert back to homo or you kill yourself. Very very few will get married, have kids, THEN revert back.

I can’t speak for the left on the gender and sexes, only what I’ve observed. I have an appreciation for gender issues as I myself have a quirky fetish. It’s a very real thing and a very real force with those afflicted. Denial or reconditioning has never helped. All data suggests this, and I know from my personal anecdote.

Being a science man I speak that there are basically two sexes, with the exceptions of course the abnormalities like hermaphrodites, and the X0 and XXX. Genders, there are no rigid rules like that. Sexual preference is extremely variable, as much as personalities.

What strikes me to respond isn’t that I’m a leftist, it’s the gross ignorance displayed by those who think if you have a penis, you must like vaginas, and vice versa, and any deviation is correctable. This argument is flat wrong, based on all evidence; and does nothing but hurt those that have these issues by placing UNNECESSARY social pressure in an already stressed mind.

As such, I find it detrimental and ignorant. This makes those arguing only two genders total idiots. My pet peeve are morons who vehemently believe they are right based on nothing but their own strongly held opinions. It’s the biggest problem in this country.

So places just had one single toilet? Even for hundreds of customers? Or did high patron activity places just have multiple individual toilets?

Now you are being obtuse, no where are there instantly hundreds of people waiting to use bathrooms.

There are still the same amount of toilets, the only difference is privacy, so everyone regardless of gender has a private stall to use as opposed to a communal stall, and in any case, it is more mental issues, as most people using bathrooms are trying to defecate, not any other issues, only Americans try and make bathroom use so complicated.

My first question to you is why are you bringing a quote from outside the thread into it and then responding to it? I could see if you were quoting it to make a point but that is not what it looks like is happening here.

That said, with regards to the part that you responded to with the above, gender identity is NOT sexual orientation. Gender identity is which gender you feel you are, what your mind regards you as, which is why if there is a mismatch to the physical body, then dysphoria sets in. Sexual orientation is which gender or sex you are attracted to, regardless of what your own gender is.

Homosexuality is as incurable as heterosexuality is. Take that how you wish. I have yet to hear of any gender dysphoria that is incurable, short of the person refusing to transition. Mind you, transitioning does not necessarily mean they have to go through the entire SRS. Sometimes just presenting as their gender (vice their sex) is enough to cure the dysphoria. Now other dysphoria might be incurable.

We are dealing with an evolving language as we are learning new things about old conditions. This is why sex and gender are becoming separate but related things and are no longer synonyms. Your sex never changes. You are born male or female and are that way forever. But that is only what your body and genetics are. Regardless of what surgery you have done you remain male or female. But that says nothing of what your gender is.

And now you too have been drawn into this thread. I think that I am going to take this response and answer it back in the original thread.

Edit: I see, that thread has been closed so you two have decided to hijack this thread. This is not a good thing. You need to go start your own thread.

Because the other thread was closed as you've now discovered. So I found a related thread to the subject matter, which for some ridiculous reason, you have a problem with.

What a ridiculous thing to say, that we have "hijacked" this thread. How have we done that exactly? Isn't this thread not about transgenderism?

So there are zero people living now as heterosexuals who were formerly homosexuals?

Yeah, so the left would consider male and female to be both gender AND sex types equally I would guess. They used to call them transSEXuals - what ever happened to that term? Perhaps the left decided that it was a dishonest term as biological sex cannot be transformed, however you seem to be under the impression that the left freely admit this. They don't.

No I didn't say that, just that places which have hundreds of patrons at any given time will have a significant percentage which need the toilet. And I'm asking that if in the past places had multiple individual toilets or just literally one for men and one for women with, in some cases, large cues of people waiting to use them.

Are you saying that this is something that some places have currently? I thought that you were strictly speaking of the past.

Mental issues? From people defecating? I'm not sure what you mean.

You don't think ANYONE is now living as a heterosexual who was formerly homosexual?

The left still believes that someones biological sex can change don't they?

This is sexual orientation isn't it? Who the hell is out there saying that if you're a man you must like women and vice versa?

This is a Q&A thread by which the OP has offered up to answer questions about being a transgender, so that others might get some insight on the thought process of some transgenders. To continue your discussion you should start a new thread.

There are exceptions to every rule. Of course some homosexuals have become hetero. This is proof of nothing.

I don’t speak for the left. Sexual anatomy can be changed, not biology.

Anyone saying there are two genders is arguing that men like women and vice versa, period. If this is not understood by hose claiming it, it shows their ignorance.

Wouldn't it be possible for someone to believe that there are two genders but also believe that there are more than one sexual orientation? You seem to be confusing gender with sexual orientation.

I'm not sure I understand the question. Of course it's possible for someone to believe anything.... example, people still believe in an invisible man in the sky.

Generally speaking, you can talk about sexual orientation with talking about gender. Obviously there are differences, but for sake of my laziness I'm not going to go into them.

But if we were to say someone is fine with homosexual but not transgender, there's strong evidence that both are inherent in the individual. Cannot be changed.

Someone can believe there are two genders. That's fine, whatever. I think it has gone too far recently with there being something over 100+ genders.... it's a little overboard. But believing and making a thread that there are only two doesn't make it right. Making concessions that there are 2 but more than 1 sexual orientation ALSO doesn't make it right.

Belief to the contrary of actual evidence is worth no more than the hot air it takes to say it.

Do you feel that removing a healthy part of your body to be the action of a mentally healthy person? Say if someone wanted their hand removed, or a foot, an ear etc.. You would question and evaluate their mental state of mind?

Why is removing a penis or breast any different?
