"WASHINGTON — President Trump said on Wednesday that this week’s devastating chemical weapons attack in Syria had changed his view of the brutal civil war in that country, though he declined to say how the United States would respond.

Mr. Trump said the images of death inside Syria in the aftermath of the chemical attacks “crosses many lines, beyond a red line, many many lines.” And he said that the death of “innocent children, innocent babies, little babies” has made him reassess the situation and Syria’s president, Bashar al-Assad."

Will we see the UN send in various individuals to examine the evidence and write reports against assad, condemning him as a war criminal as they do every time Israel is in a defensive war?

Will we see the UN step up and attack assad and bring him to the Hague to be hanged for Crimes Against Humanity?

Hogwash.....the USA created and enabled, and is supporting ISIS to created change of the elected government of Assad in Syria, just has it has done around the planet...If anyone should be tried for "Crimes against Humanity" it is the government in Washington DC, as they have been committing these crimes ever since WW2. They are hungry for global domination, to satisfy their globalist masters...the President of the USA has become "Puppet in Chief" ever since they assassinated President Kennedy...

Lots of over the top, ludicrous accusations with no facts or legitimacy. Try again.

As for those seeking "global domination", you might want to look into your paymaster little man putin.

Thats the best you can do? Guess it is...you might want to look at who is running the USA government, and it's Puppets in Chief in Washington...the globalists and their world domination amibitions...give it a try and learn the truth, instead of spouting shallow denials, or maybe you cannot accept reality?

The "globalists," the "illuminati," the "rothschilds," etc, and whatever other euphemism/nonsense label you can conjure to help simple minds try to get a handle on a world too complex for them to comprehend. This type of silliness should be in the conspiracy theory section.

Why should the US care? If Russia wants to end the Syrian civil war, let them. Syria is a craphole we don't need to be associated with. The longer this thing drags out, the more refugees (Ahem...terrorists) this creates. Let Assad throw down the hammer, get his country under control, and we can stick our nose back into our own business.

And you must be on some serious mushrooms if you think Assad will be "hanged" in Hague lol

Do you really think the terrorism will cease if assad re-establishes control over syria? Had obama not been a feckless turd and listened to (gasp!) HRC and set up a no-fly zone in the country, the refugees could have stayed there and never needed to go to europe. This would have kept the conflict contained within the syrian borders and local, rather than de-stabilizing neighbors like Jordan and Lebanon who have had to absorb millions of refugees.

Given that iran is actually running syria and has for years, and has used it as a conduit for funneling weapons to hezbollah and other terrorist groups that are de-stabilizing other countries in the region, breaking that link is in the national security interests of the US and its allies in the mideast.

My gut tells me if he is hanged, it will be on a nearby lampost, but in a perfect world it would be at the Hague but we don't live in a perfect world; the proof of that is due to people like little boy putin, khameini, assad, nasrallah, and other dung living in it.

Assad hates the same terrorists we do. In fact, he's a big leader in slaughtering ISIS. The longer that region is destabilized, the more terrorism it creates. If Assad wants to make enemies out of terrorists, then fine, that's his deal. We don't need to keep doing it.

If your gut tells you he'll be hanged in Hague, then you're certifiably insane.

I think jimmy sees the Hague, as a perfect outcome.

He clearly states he see ASSad swinging from a lamp post.

He is a lackey/vassal of iran, who is as pure an enemy of the US as exists in the world.

As a soldier, do I need to remind you of how many thousands of US GIs were injured/killed by iran/syria in the iraq war? That iran maimed/killed more US troops than any country the US was not at war with, ever? That assad was harboring ISIS and allowing them to use syria as a base of operations to attack US troops in iraq for years?

Couldn't care less about Assad. It's the vacuum of terror that gets bigger and bigger the longer this civil war looms. It needs to end and order NEEDS to be restored. Russia could handle that. We have no reason to.

I can't see much of a reason not to let the Bear get his hands bloody on this one either.

Syria is not a strategic essential for us. If Russia can restore order there, throw the bone hammer down on terrorists, I see absolutely no problem with that. The OP apparently wants to keep this war going.

Yeah, I personally have zero problem letting Rusdia take the military lead on this.

Hell, let them take Syria for that matter.

Obama F-ked up getting us involved in Syria. I understand the premise behind it (human rights blah blah blah) but look at what the rest of the world is doing...We aren't the world police. The Arab League should be the only ones involved, but hell, if Russia wants to restore order and bomb the **** out of terrorists that WE are also fighting in other countries? Go for it

And by slaughtering huge numbers of civilians he is creating ten times more.

And I find it rather bizarre that you would so casually dismiss iran's maiming/murder of thousands of US GIs in iraq.

GI's as you call them, or as we refer to ourselves as "enlistees", signed up to fight and die.

Tell that to the families whos sons, brothers and husbands were injured or killed because the scumhole iran sent copper EFPs into iraq to their terrorist proxies. I doubt they'd be as casual over their losses as you are being.

Collateral damage? Sure? Accidental deaths, ok. But wholesale targeting of cities and sending militias in to stab 3 year olds and pregnant women cowering in closets in their homes? No can do, that won't fly.
