I am not convinced that he was however there was a lot going on between the two on investigations that it needs to be looked at closely.

There was suspected interference by Russia into our election process and an investigation was certainly called for. That is not a coup attempt, but it is our intelligence community doing its job and they found that there was interference. There was evidence of Trump campaign involvement, but not enough for charges to be filed. Trump welcomed Russian offer of help rather than reporting it to the FBI which would have been the honorable and patriotic thing to do. However, Trump has been dancing around the legal process all his business life so it is not surprising that he would keep his distance from law enforcement. Putin told Trump that he didn't do it and Trump believed that thug rather than his own people. Love to know the reason for it.
