Yeah that's why I'm leaning toward arrogance. People that don't share your views are stupid, stupid enough to believe wide fires just start up for no reason.

when you assume everyone that disagrees with you dumber than you you show your hand.
I don't think anyone denies climate change this is more of your arrogance. The climate has been changing as in warming up since the last ice age.

There seems to be some disagreement on the cause.
I'm sorry to see that you are such a stereotype.

Droughts have been happening for thousands of years. What makes you think this one was caused by climate change?

That no definitive science exists as of yet. And if you're being honest, you know that just as well as I do.

I note the lack of citations for these “facts”

Now if you give me a citation I will read it but until then I consider this to be opinion not “facts”

And out of date at that! RE is overtaking everything as the cheapest most environmentally friendly way to go.

True! And as soon as we can prize the bloody coal industry out of our politics we will do something about it!

If you truly wanted to do something about it, you'd sell your car, ride a horse, and turn off the electricity.

Coal has nothing to do with Aus mismanagement of forests.

    Not at this level!

Admittedly our indigenous people have been here for over 60,000 years but THIS year “wet” forests which have never before seen fire have burnt

Ah, so you again admit ignorance. Turns out you, who accused me of not doing my research, are the one who hasn’t.

This is how this works. If you disagree with my assertions, prove me wrong. I’m not your teacher, (even though I’ve taught you a lot in the past).

Perhaps if ya’ll that want that to happen chip in and outspend them in lobbying, it will happen. I’ll bet you wouldn’t like living without their contributions to your budget though. :)

The two major exports from Australia are iron ore and coal. If those industries leave your economy loses 100 billion dollars. You should never want that to leave, because when it does Australia will become a broken third world nation. With their proclivity for socialism there will likely be famine or genocide as we see in every single socialistic country that comes upon hard times.

Interesting to know that about Australia. If China moves away from coal and this iron and steel production Australia will likely not survive.

Coal is more important to the Aussies as an export as well as iron ore. I didn't know that before reading this thread. If those industries die off it doesn't bode well for Australia. They lose 100 billion in their economy if that happens.

Not that I think it will. Iron isn't going anywhere and coal is the best way to smelt it so the Aussies will be fine for a while. But if that changes it's mad Max world for them. Or they'll have to make a lot of internal changes to have an economy based on domestic consumerism.

Call it what ever you like. As a random person on the internet that I don’t know, and doesn’t know me, your opinion holds little value.
As such I didn’t bother to read the rest of it.

There is plenty of definitive science that human caused climate change is responsible for the severity of these wild fires.

They can turn all their dead trees from the fires into biochar and sell that or use it themselves for profit. But I’ll bet the climate changers here don’t even know what that is since it’s a mitigation strategy and they aren’t into that much...

No, nobody in says that the climate isn't changing. It's a lie to suggest that there is and it's designed to make people which you disagree with look like they disagree with settled science which 100% of the scientific community agrees with.

So then you disagree with the ScienceNews.org article (your own source) which says:
"Here’s how climate change MAY make Australia’s wildfires more common."

In my scenario, "the right" would be people who the left call "RACIST" for criticising Islam. If the left blamed those people for an attack, would you say that was fair?

    No, it was a scenario.

200 is the number that GOT CAUGHT! Who knows how many got away with it! Why do you assume that 200 arson arrests means that only 200 fires were started by arson?

I wish I had a dollar for every time I saw a post claiming it’s a hoax. Oh well.
