Australian vegan takes neighbors to court because she doesn't like the smell of fish being barbecued

An Australian vegan woman was so furious that she could smell her neighbors' barbecue from their backyard, she took her "vegan beef" to the state's highest court.

.. says her neighbors next door use a barbecue so often to cook fish that it causes her to stay inside.

... she also said that her neighbors kids playing basketball in their yard was intolerable to her so she was suing for them to stop playing in their yard too.

This is an example of extremism. Needless to say the woman complainer's case was dismissed. In the US, It might have been considered a frivolous lawsuit whereby she might have been fined for wasting the court's time.

I would recommend this woman acquires some earplugs and a gasmask or makes plans to move. Someone this unhinged could be a danger to herself and her neighbors so moving would be better for her neighbors and probably the entire neighborhood.

I knew neighborhood family like this who lived right behind me in the house I grew up in. Case in point this. My parents had 2 labs who were brothers. They were escape artists. On average once a month they got out of the back yard. Which is just shy of a half acre. We got very tired of and we put a electric wire that was about 5 inches above the ground and about 5 in away from the chin link fence. The fence wasn't electrified, just the wire was. That is critical info. Anyway the idiot neighbor wife called the police saying the fence was electrified and her kids were danger. Keep in mind this was on OUR side of the fence. The only way her kids would have been in danger is if they hopped the fence in on to my parents property. The police come and see what we've done said anything illegal. That pissed her off. From there on she called the police on us for every little thing.

 

Just proves that the U.S. doesn't have a monopoly on whack-os.

We put up a privacy fence in the backyard of a house I used to own in an upscale suburban neighborhood. Before the installers could unload their materials one busybody neighbor was telling me I needed a permit which I immediately pointed it out to him, as it was properly posted in the house front window as required.
The neighbors objected because their kid's could no longer go running through our large backyard as freely as they had in the past.

We wanted to get along too. We never asked for their kids to be on leashes when running unabated through our yard.
We had large dogs. They would have most certainly sued claiming my dogs attacked their kid running through our yard had we not protected it with a fence.

 

There is a Youtube channel called R/slash who reads story's from redit that are about entitled parents and other subjects to that nature. You should look him up. You listen to some of these parents and its like holy shi*

 

We have some followers here from Australia who apparently like to know everything that happens in the US. One remarked that whenever someone farts in the US they smell it down under. This just goes to show that if they make a stink, we all read about them too.

Fences work great. As we live in a mother in law unit in the landlords backyard, we are surrounded entirely by a 6ft privacy fence. I keep it locked, it's awesome, no random visitors. Did not call? Dont bother showing up. It will be locked.

Saw some folks on another block, put one up around their entire house. I thought "yeah, good luck with code enforcement. Sure enough, about 10 days later, they had to reduce the height to 3 ft on the front and side.

 

Unlike her neighbors, she doesn't know that fish is brain food.

 

Positive. Read the article. The woman lives in Perth. Australia is similar to parts of CA in some ways. Many urban coastal areas are too dense and over regulated.
