I am looking at it that way.
And the US could end them tariffs with easy and be more competitive with the world.
But it doesn't. We all know the US makes a HECK of a lot of money. It's all ... look at that GNP go. Look at the stock market. Just superb! But it just ends in the pockets of the lucky few who manage it all. And it's simple... the US can not afford that. They just can't. While the people living on minimum wage... well they need food stamps to make ends meet. I dunno how they can do with less.

In fact, currently the US policies are making it more expensive for the average American.

You want the US to unilaterally end tariffs even if the world does not end theirs?

How would that benefit average Americans?

The answer is it would beneft only the few that libs hate so much

I'm going to ask you 3 specific questions and see if you can answer them. Lets use the EU
How much is the trade deficit with the EU?
What is the difference in tariffs between the US and the EU?
If both were zero, what would the deficit be?

Well, maybe 4. Would you be happy then?

China didn't cut tariffs. They simply postponed implementing them for 90 days as a show of good faith.

That question was not directed to me.
No. I don't think we need to lift all tariffs on China. I think we should target them.
Can you answer the questions now or are you just a troll spouting BS.

Correct. Because China doesn't need to import them.

Ford, GM, Mercedes, BMW etc. make their vehicles right there, in China - because it's more cost-effective to make cars where you sell cars.

That's why the vast majority of the vehicles made in China are sold in China.

It's why foreign automakers - Honda, Toyota, Nissan, etc. - have factories in the U.S.

It's why most have factories all over the world. They can be (and are) in the US and China and Europe and Asia and Africa...

They will need America less and less and we need goods made in China if our own goods become too high in price. It is a trade-off.
Imported goods help to keep our products competitive. Years ago it was Japan.

They also produce cars where the costs are reasonable and export to countries where they sell well.

You mean that GM is subject to the laws of the countries that they do business in and so is every person and company.

There is no need to get TOO snarky even for a lib

Without engaging in a paper chase I think we have a surplus with the euros

But if we were behind I would not worry too much

We may not be friends anymore

But we are not enemies either

    Or at least not yet

which means the euros are not plotting our downfall the way china is

They have comparable costs of doing business so I would call it a fair competition

So American workers being paid a living wage is unreasonable in your mind?

How about the safety and pollution standards in America?

    Are they unreasonable too?

Not many lib tree huggers would agree with you about that

On paper thats all it is when globalists tell the story

But the reality is that china is an expqnsionist communist dictatorship and force foreign companies to dance to their tune

If it is so difficult to do business in China, they wouldn't be there.

No, they won't. European companies, and especially European labor unions, won't go down without a fight.
