I don't even know what "dating" is tbh. Swedes don't do that. Most of the times sex comes first, then the couple might agree to meet up for coffee a couple of times. It is not until after a few cups of coffee that you might see a more "traditional/American" dinner date, but not even then is it called a date and many times the check is split 50:50 lol.

NE Asia? You mean the place they use child slave labor and put lead or ecstasy in the paint for children's lunch boxes. the place where they have to put suicide nets on tall factories to avoid losing workers?

I don't think we aspire to be China. If you threaten kids with the death penalty we would probably have fewer pregnancies and STDs as well.

It is interesting to note that by many accounts, Mary was about 12-14 yo when she had Jesus.

Why is this "interesting to note?" What are you insinuating by such a comment?

I agree with this. Usually children are promiscuous because they have a lack of self esteem or have problems at home, "looking for love in all the wrong places" and such things. I do think that safe sexual practices should be discussed with children when they reach a certain age, and also and especially how vulnerable they are to adult sexual predators who would love to take advantage of their naivety.

    This threads a joke.

I don't understand why people enjoy watching other people put balls through hoops or why cheerleading is fun but people enjoy it and that's their prerogative. It isn't sexual it is emotional.

There is one thing feminists, islamists and conservatives have in common and that is the perverted neo-moralist willingness to control and dictate the female individual - skin is bad and being proud of your body is too.

Have no idea where this crap came from. Just leave people alone already!

Or they might just be incredibly comfortable and secure in their body. Although I myself am quite prude (compared to the average dude my age) and do not think promiscuity and "sleeping around" should be encoyraged at any cost, I find this wholen"hush hush" around nudity and skin highly disturbing.

Leave it to the parents to decide. Compulsory sex ed is an absolute joke imo.

I don't really think that is a common reason for when CHILDREN are sexually active. While children have feelings and may have curiosity, they are still children and they need to learn about sex, safe sex, etc., in case they do make some bad decisions, which a lot of children are known to do.

Anyway, this is way off topic from banning cheerleading.

In my world children are asexual, although they might be curious on the differences between the sexes, they are not really sexual. At all.

Teenagers, on the other hand, are very sexual and the reason teenagers are sexually active is...drumroll*...nature!

I still feel we are being overly prude in the modern age that we live in.

In particular Northern Europeans have had a long history of openness and contra-shyness when it comes to nudity. It is fair to say there has been some kind of "nudity culture" in this part of the world (lots of nude beaches in Germany and the sauna tradition of Finland, eg), but now it seems to be dying even uphere, to be replaced with some new puritan ideal.

Feminist groups together with islamists have managed to push through the decision of "girls only"-days at public pools, many Western feminists want to ban pornography and in UK they have managed to ban ads with women "showing too much skin".

As I see it, this is how we teach our girls to be ashamed of their bodies and sexuality and it really is just another way of stigmatising sex and nudity.

A more relaxed stance on nudity would boost teenagers' confidence and it would make sure every individual would be free to fulfill their own, personal interests.

Lol. You are right. How did we get into this discussion anyways? Oh right, twas the neo-puritans screaming their faces off because cheerleaders show their ankles and wrists. :p

Well, we aren't cave people, and sex has a lot of negative consequences.

I don't have anything against nudity although I'd rather not have to see people's dangly bits. Not to mention, it takes all the excitement and mystery out of things.

I agree. I personally think sex outside a love-based relationship is both wrong and stupid, but if people want to do it, people can do it. As long as they do not force me to participate.

    Haha.

    Holy Hell. What ridiculousness.

I've known adults not capable of mature relationship ethics, yet I would not endorse anyone of a young age to delve into mature depths when many if not most make a mess of not only their own lives but of everyone else's within their immediate circle, intimate or otherwise.

As for having a child without having sex, Biblical scholars would even debate over THAT.

You can't be serious! When my hormones turned on at about age 12, it was all I could think about. You apparently have no concept of how powerful the sex drive is for some of us. I was going out of my mind until I finally got laid. And then I was going out of my mind until I got laid again, and again... This had nothing to do with self esteem.

So a healthy young man with a strong sex drive makes you cringe? How telling! No sexism there!!! I wasn't alone. Most of my friends were the same way. I turned on earlier than most but it didn't take long.

Now if you want to cringe, consider that by age 16 I was getting laid by a 30 year old, When there's a will there's a way. I've had iwomen gasp and ask how I felt about being "sexually abused". LOL!!! I thought it was the best damned thing that had ever happened to me! It was a dream come true. While this wouldn't work the other way around, for a young man it was fantastic.

I know because I'm not human. Cut it out. Plenty of people aren't having sex at 12. That is probably a part of your problem. You equate sex with love.

    - - - Updated - - -

There was an anonymous poll on one of these forums one time, asking at what age did people lose their virginity, and the majority answered over 16 years old. And don't talk to me about having sex before you are ready to take on the responsibility, as a teen mom, I know a LOT about that topic.

Not really. I like to get a little kinky now and then but as kinky goes, I'm pretty vanilla. I just wanted sex like most young men. The thing a lot of women don't get is that most men see sex and love as two separate things. We can integrate the two but they are not one in the same. The desire for sex with or without love is perfectly normal for many if not most men. This is why we see nearly 100% porn usage among men, There are women who see things the same way. And porn is increasing in popularity with women quickly. This is especially true as women get older. By their late 30s and early 40s, some women have a sex drive on par with a younger man. This is why we see cougars. Men go for the youth and beauty and women go for stamina.

Looking back, it is clear that I was sexually more mature than most guy s my age. And women sensed it. This opened the door to a number of opportunities. At age 18 slept with my mother's friend. But I wasn't really kinky or wild. I just wanted sex.

The point is, we are sexual creatures. We are born that way and it is unfair to judge men for what we are. Our biological purpose is to spread our seed far and wide. Everything about us evolved to drive successful reproduction. That the sex drive is also a psychological imperative is easy to understand. It is in our nature.

Err, not all of us are driven by sex. . . And being a felinical creature if any kind is completely against my nature. People, with the exception of my children, generally annoy the flock out of me. I am the insane woman in the woods left alone for everyone's best interests. I enjoy company, but only from a distance.

I gotcha, though, I pay attention well enough to understand and I don't intentionally meddle. FYI, TMI likely all over this thread.

Well this is a waste of time. I explained in fair detail that most men separate sex from love. What you are spouting is pop psychobabble that seeks to trivialize the nature of men. Sex and love are two different things to men.

I said by age 12 my hormones turned on and all I could think about was sex. I didn't say I got sex thought I was certainly ready.
As a teen mom, you weren't smart enough to use birth control? I was. So who really had the problem here?
