Pink AR's are for women and the LGBT community. I haven't seen any state legislation from Sacramento outlawing pink AR's just black scary looking ones.
Looks like a modified 303 Enfield 5 Mk 1 jungle carbine. Excellent rifle. Back during the mid or late 1970's "Guns and Ammo" asked the question what was the best infantry rifle ever to see combat ? Surprising to most that the M-1 Garand, M-14, FNL's, M-16's didn't make the top three. The AK-47 is an assault rifle not a infantry rifle so it was never considered. # 1. 303 Enfield No. 4 #2. 30-06 1903 Springfield (More of a target rifle than a infantry rifle) #3 8 mm Kar 98 Mauser (More of a hunting rifle than an infantry rifle) What about the 7.5 Swiss Schmidt and Rubin mod. 1911 ? It wasn't consider because it didn't go to war but the Schmidt and Rubin is at the top of the list. The 7.5 Swiss cartridge is comparable in performance and accuracy with the Winchester 308 (7.62 NATO) The Schmidt and Rubin rifle is the fastest bolt action rifle ever produced. Model 1911 Rifle Schmidt–Rubin Model 1911 Rifle An improvement over the original, 1889, version of the Schmidt–Rubin rifle, the Swiss M1911 placed the locking lugs in the middle of the bolt, rather than at the rear, strengthening the action and allowing a more powerful cartridge, the Gewehrpatrone 11 or GP 11 to be used. It is distinguished from the 96/11 rifle by a curved buttplate and by a stock with an integral semi-pistol grip. It uses a graduated tangent sight which begins at 300 meters. The 1911 and 96/11 rifles are characterized by exceptional accuracy and were made with excellent craftsmanship. The fact that Switzerland remained neutral through both world wars ensured that they are in far better condition, on average, than the rifles of other European nations from that vintage. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Schmidt–Rubin
I cant speak to other countries, but the US is a gun culture. A ban on semi-autos would not only serve to turn millions of law abiding citizens into criminals, but innovation would quickly challenge the effectiveness of the law. For example, guns like this would become very popular:
Whewwy, do you really believe that Armalite is a quality manufacturer of arms? Who uses them when the best is needed? This is a fools toy
Yep, I am sure you are an expert. Who’s observation are you repeating? I did several builds and mods for customer over the weekend; what should I have done to fix the Krap?
Your nation wasn't born of armed rebellion and total war against the greatest military power of the world (at the time). You never had the sort of gun culture that we do.
Actually, it's a modified #4. Came into my hands from a friend who'd left it under the seat of his truck through a wet and muddy spring and it had rusted badly; rust had occluded the barrel. I bought it off of him for all of $15, then went to work cleaning the rust off. Gave it to a gunsmith I was friends with, and he figured I had 17 inches of usable bore left, so he cut the barrel down and recrowned it at 16 1/2 inches. He managed to tune the trigger to a usable 4.5 lps. Then an Ashley Outdoors Scout mount, a polycarbonate stock, and a Leupold scout scope, and a friend did the rattlecan custom camo job. End of the day, I ended up with a beautifully quick-handling, smooth shooting, and accurate little utility carbine.
That's because you famously failed to collect them all. About 70%, IIRC, and more keep showing up every month.
Armalite a division of the Fairchilds Aircraft division with developer Eugene Stoner innovated a completely new concept firearm in the AR-10, The AR is well developed and mature, the parts are qualified as Mil Spec and there is no room for error, if proper specifications are adhered to. So tell us why you hate Armalite ? Hmmmm ?
He said Armalite was Krap, in comparison to ??? The same model is made by countless companies now, Armalite was the beginning. I fail to understand his point. Then he shows an accessory encumbered gun to prove his point.
Tell me what military units depend upon Armalite????? Dude there are cell phone cases that claim to be mil spec. What military uses AR-15's. The M16 that was based on the AR prototype that Armalite sold to Colt was and is a plastic nothingless weapon. Bye the way Vietnam was the only war the USA ever lost, partly because of sticking composite weapons
Explain how Armalite production differs from the numerous other manufacturers of the same firearm. And yet the united state military, and numerous other miliataries around the world, utilize either the M16, or some variation of such. The current production M16 is not the same as the M16 used in the Vietnam war. All of the internals are chromed, the propellants of the ammunition have been sorted out, and the maintenance is well understood by every soldier who is issued one.
You forgot to mention what military uses Armalite toys? And bye the way, the M16 is junk by modern standards as well. Whatever weapon that elite units use should be the same weapon that every military member uses. Why not give every soldier defending freedom the best? Because the CHEAP AR prototype was as said CHEAP Sad
Pray tell exactly who qualifies as being so-called "elite units" in the united states military? The green berets, as well as the navy seals, both use the M4 carbine, which is a shortened version of the current production M16 rifle.
