    "Enumerated Powers" and you won't find National Health Care there.

    Actually the "Interstate Highway System" an Eisenhower program (as was the German Autobahn), started as a means for the military to move around, but soon became an accepted National System. ATC, is also a security issue. If your leading into the "Commerce Clause" which is fine, only if used with the amendment procedure and has not been for decades. Long story short, States have simply got in the way of Obama's idea of a Central Government and must be reduced in authority, note current law suits against them....

    Nor will you find "Air Force" or "interstate Highway systems". If you are willing to put those under the "general defense" as an enumerated power, then Obamacare can be rationalized as part of "General Welfare"

    The Congress shall have Power To lay and collect Taxes, Duties, Imposts and Excises, to pay the Debts and provide for the common Defence and general Welfare of the United States; but all Duties, Imposts and Excises shall be uniform throughout the United States;

    To borrow Money on the credit of the United States;

    To regulate Commerce with foreign Nations, and among the several States, and with the Indian Tribes;

    To establish a uniform Rule of Naturalization, and uniform Laws on the subject of Bankruptcies throughout the United States;

    To coin Money, regulate the Value thereof, and of foreign Coin, and fix the Standard of Weights and Measures;

    To provide for the Punishment of counterfeiting the Securities and current Coin of the United States;

    To establish Post Offices and Post Roads;

    I will note that the Constitution specifically provides for both a Navy and a Army(land force) but has no provision for an air force. Not surprising- but clearly not 'enumerated'

    Another routine regular liberal lie. Read them both. There is almost no similarity. Plus Romney vetoed more than half the MA healthcare bill but the Democrats overrode all his vetoes. MA's healthcare bill was introduced by Democrats in both MA legislatures and passed by Democrats, and Democrats overrode Romney's vetoes. Now in desperation to remain in power, Democrats LIE and lay the entire thing at Romney's feet like he issued a Royal Edict establishing the law.

    EVERY DAY of Romney's term as Gov. The MA Congress was totally controlled by the Democratic Party. Yet he balanced the Democrats budget. Reversing a Democrat deficit and leaving with a surplus, which the next Democrat IMMEDIATELY turned back into a deficit.

    You liberals are WITHOUT a FACT. You have become the Party of incredible liars. And most liberals are so sadly STUPID, they believe the lies their lying leaders tell them. WHY?     JEFF: Were talking about equal protection of all people and to assume it means their health, would then fall on to many other things. NO ONE can maintain good health, without food, water and shelter and it's impossible to provide equal quality to each person in either of those two or maybe thousands of issues that can bring on physical or MENTAL problems. Said another way you can promote anything, but can't provide for 320 Million people, especially equally.

    for example: romney has praised israel's socialist healthcare system

    but you can't seem to accept that fact at all

    And what is the one issue that Conservatives are using to scare Americans about Obamacare- individual mandates- taxes?

    In a 2009 interview with CNN, Romney explained how the Massachusetts health care mandate worked. If the state's residents decided to forgo health insurance when they could afford it, Romney said they would face the loss of a tax exemption. In other words, they would be assessed a tax.

    "There are a number of ways to encourage people to get insurance and what we did, we said 'you're going to lose a tax exemption if you don't have insurance,'" Romney told CNN in the interview.
    The former Massachusetts governor said the mandate was necessary to achieve universal coverage in the state.

    Yeah- tell us more about how the Massachusett Plan isn't anything like Obamacare, and even if it is, its not Mitt's fault- because Mitt seems to be taking credit for it.

    First politiFACT, isn't. and second, perhaps you missed it but the SCOTUS found the Medicaid expansion to be UNCONSTITUTIONAL. So THE major selling point of obamaSCAM was covering all the people that wouldn't be covered. That won't happen. And the reason that SCAM was unconstitutional was that it forced the STATES to pay for it. So the CBO says how much obamaSCAM will cost, THE FEDERAL GOVERNMENT. They do not compute what the costs to the States and the tax increases the states have to do to pay for obamaSCAM. So the cost estimate was a Lie. In the Nov election the state of FL is ADDING a STATE CONSTITUTIONAL AMENDMENT, that will state that NO law can ever be passed requiring that any citizen of the state can ever be required to buy health insurance. Nor be required to pay for others health insurance.

    So the "penalty" became a tax and the expanded coverage got tossed out by the SCOTUS.

    And here is a little something for you to consider about gov health care.

    In the USA we spend 11.8% of our household income paying out of pocket for health care.

    Austraila, 18.6%
    Canada, 14.4%
    Germany, 13.2%
    Greece 38.4%
    Israel, 27.1%
    Japan, 16.0%
    Norway, 15.0%* 2007
    Sweden, 16.8%

    ALL with UHC. Yet they all spend more out of pocket than the USA household without UHC.

    The OECD average is 20.1% as of 2010. THIS IS IN ADDITION TO WHAT THE GOVT SPENDS ON HEALTH CARE.!

    When a law, state or federal is enacted by overriding a Chief Executives veto, That law goes into effect WITHOUT his approval.

    Romney COULD whine and soil his shorts about, ITS NOT MY FAULT," like the responsibility avoiding buffoon obama would, but Romney has not made a single excuse about Romneycare.     And this you can take to the bank. EVERYTHING I post is as accurate, official, and as true as I can find from OFFICIAL sources. When it is not, I say, "So and so said this:,,,,,,," That may indicate that I agree, it may not. But I'm simply relaying what someone else said.

    For Instance, The local LIBERAL paper posted a poll Sunday. They just posted the results. Who they polled, how they polled, I don't know. THEY didn't say. I do know that Registered Democrats make up about 30% of the local populace. The poll results for president were 81% ROMNEY, 17% obama, 1% others.

    That is just info passed along. The items about the MA health care law are true and 100% accurate according to the DEMOCRAT CONTROLLED MA government.

    So politifact says that a 74 page law and a 955 page law with references to many thousands more pages are essentially the same. Engage in just a tiny bit of CRITICAL thinking, and think about how that even could be possible.

    Now if you wish to argue how I interpret the official information from official sources, THAT is completely fair and righteous as I am extremely conservative and you are liberal to whatever extent you wish to admit to. We can see the same FACT from a totally different perspective. But when you accuse me of making things up, you have lost YOUR credibility because I do not make things up, and I, IN FACT, often challenge other conservatives that post erroneous or questionable information. Each side needs to deal in truth. This nation is too important to do otherwise.
