The Egyptians took on the Germans in yesterdays spirited sport on Copacabana Beach, but their uniforms were in stark contrast to each other. German athletes, Laura Ludwig and Kira Walkenhorst, took to the sand pit in the traditional two-piece bikini uniform. The beach volleyball 'uniform' is an abomination. And yes, ANY woman who sensibly refuses to jump around in front of millions in a (*)(*)(*)(*)ing bikini should be able to do so.
I would think that wearing a hijab or similar article of clothing would be a handicap. I've got no problem with bikinis. In fact, I like them, and these bikinis are not so revealing.
Remember the brand Bolle? And those hats? has anyone seen the movie Sideout? Volleyball culture was semi popular for a short time back in the 90s. - - - Updated - - - Do Bolle make hijabs?
I'm going through some old threads and am surprised that there was so little comment: the Germany uniform is defo preferable - frankly, I'm puzzled as to why Egypt has those costumes considering how belly dancing with its skimpy costuming and suggestive moves is the national dance
Egyptian girls doing artistic gymnastics: rhyth: dunno why Egypt has any objection to bikinis since they allow other feminine uniforms in these sports
