Several months from now, we will be reading the headlines ... Republicans FORCE mentally ill woman to go off her medications to carry fetus to term (you can't be on most anti-psychotic drugs and carry to term). Republicans FORCE Downs Syndrome teen-age girl to carry rapist's baby to term. Republicans vote to outlaw contraceptive pills claiming they may cause induced abortions. This is a can of worms that will be headlines for years.
I don't see anyone contradicting what i said. You have a well earned reputation as being hateful of pro gun advocates
Of course rational people are going to want to keep this economic malaise and die on the RvW hill. BTW: .06% per year of the nations birthing age women get an abortion. Hardly significant in the real world where morals and economics battle it out. (Spoiler: Food and shelter usually win.) Can you stand in front of a megaphone and not wonder if you are being played?
From the OP link: "The survey was conducted by Public Policy Polling, which is affiliated with the Democratic Party, and it suggested that Republican Brian Fitzpatrick would lose his seat in Pennsylvania's 1st Congressional district to Democrat Ashley Ehasz once voters were made aware of his stance on abortion." In a related story, a large majority of flies dislike fly swatters.
That "SC(r)OTUS" is a nice example of political humor! Something tells me that the GOP [Great Obtuse Party] should spend some thoughts about this. I'm an Italian Conservative and if I was American I will vote for the GOP [Great Obtuse Party]. Anyway, in Europe about Abortion the rational approach wins. Overall in Italy the People can win and defeat the Constitutional Court [which is the corresponding Italian entity of the American Supreme Court]. Italians voted in occasion of a general referendum about Abortion and they voted to make Abortion legal. The Italian Constitution says that the sovereignty belongs to the People not to the Constitutional Court. As for I know, the American Constitution begins with the words "We The People ...". What about to organize a popular referendum about abortion in the United States? It would be a fantastic exit strategy also for the GOP: in Italy conservative parties have said "we are against abortion, but since the people has voted in favor of it, according to the Constitution, we have to accept this".
You can't really sit there and pretend that getting rid of Roe means nothing. It's going to mean much more restricted, or outright prohibition of, abortion for women in quite a few states. That's not nothing. And women who need an abortion don't give a **** who got to decide whether they could have one, and they don't give a **** if states other than the one they live in allow it.
Biden’s clumsy dismantling of the American economy to eliminate fossils fuels regardless of the cost to American citizens and their well being.
All the Supreme Court decision did, was place the decision back to the States. It didn't ban abortion unlike some of the hysteria you may be reading here. So many States, including my own, have a referendum process, so that could happen State by State.
Yes. But it isn't so much blame as it is actions. Government is quite corrupt and ruling parties don't appear interested in fixing it. They both engage in it. It is an endless cycle.
