Punishment of Belorussian for its support of Russia. Poland's polka instead of Belorussian anthem. Allegedly 'error'.

Belarusian athlete Violetta Skvortsova, won the Junior European championship, left the podium due to an error with the Anthem. Officials asked the athlete to come back and threatened disqualification. However, she refused to participate in the ceremony. In the end, the organizers of the European championship Skvortsova apologized and promised to hold a second award later. 19-year-old Skvortsov won the triple jump. The tournament takes place in the Italian Grosseto, from 20 to 23 July.

Inflating elephant out of fly, organisers goofed up and put in wrong anthem. It happens. Literally - it does happens, to various countries in various tournaments. Some people apparently think all hymns sound same.

As for girl - I guess it is somewhat right..? Not sure. Again - article itself says it all was settled by arranging second award ceremony.

Why 'it happens' only to Russia and Russian friends?
    Never to any western nation?

And what TRUE nationality ( and secret society ) has 'goofed organiser'?
    And religion?

Either whole world is our friend - which is idea that warms my heart - or organisers of sports events just sometimes thick in the skull and mistake anthems. Or, which is basically more real, google the anthem of winner in real time without leaving the booth and sometimes end up with wrong, ~wrong~ result.

Seems like someone slipped them a Polish Polka. Seems very deliberate to me.

That it was a Polish Polka and not something else is what makes it suspicious. It would be like playing a Palestinian song instead of the Israeli anthem.

Well, if you want to play conspirology and seek messages everywhere - feel free to. Some collect bugs. Some make photographies of flowers. You can be the one seeking messages from masons, or illuminaty, or whatever.

Which would be a pointless waste of time of nerves, but then again - I am not your mama, not your papa, not your anybody - feel free to do with your life whatever you wish to.

So, what's the problem with the anthem? Did they play Belorussian anthem?

Erm... It says pretty straight: they played polish anthem by mistake and had to repeat ceremony bit later with the correct one.

If for example instead of Star Spangled Banner you will hear the Anthem of North Korea.
    Isn't a problem?

They must've thought Belorussia was still polish stomping ground, and if you ask some poles, they just might agree with you!

Congratulations, mate - you managed to offend two countries in one sentence. And I thought australians been taught politeness since they evolved from penal colony into a society.

I watched the video and that girl is no snowflake haha. Was she disappointed sure but more than that.. She was pissed.

Is she old enough for me to say she's beautiful? And feisty!

Thumbs up to her. Polish polka Geez. Belarus has a new national hero. Good. I like it when all countries take pride in their country and stop saying everything is OK no big deal when they get crapped on
