Why do you think Trump supporters believe or follow Trump rather than agree with Trump? All the talk of 'Trump cult' and 'Trump undermining elections' and 'Trump should wear a mask so his supporters will too...' suggests that he is guiding our perspective and telling us what to think. He is not. Has it occurred to you that we voted for him because we already agree with him? Has it occurred to you that we're not looking for someone to follow or join, or someone to 'tell' us, but rather we found someone who is already with us?

I can't speak for all Trump supporters, but I know I can speak for a lot of them when I say Trump isn't telling us what to think. We are, and have been, in agreement. Not on everything, of course, but generally.

Just thought this needs clearing up.

I love it when Trump says one thing in the morning and his followers defend him, then says the opposite in the evening and his followers have to agree with both - yes, some drink the Kool-Aid

Unlike many other people, most Trump supporters can walk and chew gun at the same time.

I don't like Trump. I don't believe I have ever liked Trump. I did not vote for him in 2016. I did vote for him in 2020. Not because I like Trump, but because I do not Trust Biden and especially do not Trust Harris. I have little doubt that Harris will become president in the next four years. That is a frightening prospect for America.

I wish Trump would shut up and I wish he would just go ahead and concede. All of this is going nowhere.

However, I believe Trump has been good for the economy, the military and for that matter, law and order. I also believe Warp Speed has been a great success. All of which I believe are very important.

I know what you mean. I see the identical behavior with Biden supporters. They talk out of both sides of their mouth, claiming to support peace efforts in the morning, then voting for a well known war monger in the afternoon.

Agree on what though? On issues and politics? Sure - count me among those more in pro-Trump than anti-Trump for the past 4 years.

But if we're talking specifically in terms of election fraud....sorry but no. Lost all credibility. It's a full blown conspiracy theory and it's basically propaganda on a massive scale. That's what 3rd world country dictators do. They shout loud enough until the populace starts to believe. Propaganda. It's just......bad.

That's the biggest issue with this country. Loyalty to party. Why can't people have rational conversations and opinions regardless of party affiliation?

To be fair though, they first become third world dictators usually through election fraud...

Because the planet is over-populated with humans?

I don't know the answer, but your question is the big one. I support LP. I think the root of our problems is the absurd duopoly. There should be multiple parties with multiple values.

You realize that was two and a half years ago when Trump was trying to improve relations with China.

no it was not, that was right after China gave his daughter trademarks for voting machines and such

"Ivanka Trump Wins China Trademarks, Then Her Father Vows to Save ZTE"

    https://www.nytimes.com/2018/05/28/business/ivanka-trump-china-trademarks.html

"six days before the ZTE announcement, China said it approved five of Ms. Trump's trademarks, according to data from China's trademark office."

I certainly wasn't a fan of it, but I gave him the benefit of the doubt that there was a plan at work. With hindsight, it seems likely that Trump was trying to coax China with some carrot instead of stick. Would've been preferable to trade war if it had worked, but-

I'm curious though, can you cite the same people criticizing it then defending it in the same day, or are you just lumping all Trump supporters together and suggesting that some criticizing it and some others defending it amounts to collective hypocrisy?

...because, you know, we're all individuals with our own opinions. Not a collective.

how about Trump declaring a national emergency, declaring himself a war time President, issuing guidelines to the states to shut down, then tweeting the opposite?

The date on the tweet is May 13, 2018. That was two years, 7 months and two days ago.

My point is that at that time he was trying to improve relations with China. It was not, as you were trying to imply, something that just happened.

I'd be more impressed if you could say you didn't follow him or believe him since most of what he says is a lie.

    Well, let's see:

We have the Wall issue - where Trump promises Mexico will pay for the wall - which Trump fans feel is correct - but suddenly, Trump is
raiding the US Military budget to pay for the wall, and Trump fans are suddenly all saying, "Yup, that's the way it should be ...".

We have the golf issue - where Trump says that Obama is playing way too much golf and that HE will be too busy to play golf - but suddenly, there
is Trump, playing more golf than any other President and chasing the Secret Service to stay at his courses, and Trump fans are suddenly all
saying, "Yup, I'm fine with that ...".

We have the Goldman-Sachs issue - where Trump castigated Hillary for her connections with Goldman-Sachs, which Trump's minions cheered -
but suddenly, Trump is hiring Steven Mnuchin, Steve Bannon, Gary Cohn, and Dina Powell, all Goldman-Sachs connected, for his staff, and Trump
fans are like, "No problem, that's good ...".

We have the Trump flip-flop on low interest rates, the Trump flip-flop on the National Debt, the Syria flip-flop, the China flip-flops, the Russia flip-flops,
The White House visitor log flip-flop, His hiring flip-flops (loving his new hires, then calling them inept).

And Trump fans find a way to rationalize it all with" what-abouts", and "it doesn't matter". We see this at it's worse with people like Ted Cruz and
Marco Rubio and Lindsey Graham - critics who drank the cool-aid and became trump ass kissers.

You don't think your boy Biden has had dealings with China or flopped on issues? I mean one minute he doesn't want his kids growing up in a racial jungle, the next minute he's okay with it. One day he is against gay marriage, now he's okay with it. Maybe you are unaware of how politics works.

I guess it hasn't sunk in yet but anything you have to say about Trump is now moot. We are all peasants now, the Us v Them dichotomy ended yesterday, the two party system no longer exists, we are all Us now and will never be Them. The difference between you and me now is I understand what happened, you haven't, but you will.

Trump did that because China gave his daughter trademarks for voting machines and other things just days before
