Sorry, but that makes no sense. You second sentence said Medicare. You are probably just past the age of total mental confusion. But thanks for trying.

You seem confused. OF course Medicaid is inferior. But try to understand that Medicaid is totally different from Medicare.

Keep trying. You only look more the fool. The thread is about Medicare for all. Now if you have anything to actually contribute it will be appreciated. If you just keep being stupid it would be better for you to be silent.

If I supply exactly the information you claim you're looking for, and then you try to pretend you were talking about something else...well I like my chances.

You responded to a comment about a Medicaid study, I provided it, and now you're pouty.

Of course you like your chances. That alone gives us a measure of your thinking capability.

Insulting as ever, but you can never back it up with reasoned argument and sources. I just assume you are an unpleasant person in general but you really turn it up to 11 in healthcare related threads. I suggest you take a break from them until you can learn to control yourself and stop insulting people.

Well I do try to lower myself to the level of my opponents although it is admittedly a bit of a struggle in your case.

I've taken the high road, or at least higher than you. That's pretty well evidenced in this thread. You responded to a comment about Medicaid, I provided the link to the study you were asking about, and it's just been nonstop nonsense and insults from you ever since.

So I'm not even sure what your point is, just to be a nasty person? If you didn't want to read the link, or if you thought no one would ever provide it, then just ignore it and drive on. There is zero reason to loose your mind like this.

I read the link. Has nothing to do with the topic of the thread. Perhaps you can explain what an article on Medicaid has to do with Bernie's " Medicare for all" plan.

And once again this is the post I responded to:

" Every single study done on Medicaid proves that it significantly reduces access and provides far worse outcomes than any private insurance plan. Bernie's plan is to expand Medicare to cover everything, including vision and dental, at zero cost savings."

You can read it that the first sentence should have said " medicare" or that the second sentence should have said " Medicaid" or you can just read it as confused.

Sigh. You've already posted this and I've already responded.

Then you should have just said, that the poster meant to say Medicare and corrected him. Instead you went on hostile jihad against me because I provided facts you didn't want to know.[/QUOTE]

Well actually you didn't provide any facts I didn't want to know. The only thing the article says is that in certain cases people with Medicaid fared worse than people with no insurance. First of course Medicaid is not insurance and second this makes sense because People on Medicaid are the poorest of the poor and health outcones in Smerica are always wealth correlated.

    Huh?

It may not have been what you wanted to know, but it was what you asked for.

Well actually it doesn't even do that. Even assuming I was asking for proof of the first sentence of the post on Medicaid the article you posted does not show that Medicaid outcones are worse than any private insurance plan. The article says that the outcomes for Medicaid are worse than for no insurance at all.

Or did I read your link incorrectly.

What other possible way would you possibly interpret the statement you just made than private insurance is better than Medicaid?

Not having insurance, and therefore not having access to health care, provided a substantially better outcome than having access through Medicaid to health care. That means that Medicaid is literally worse than nothing.

Where did I say any such thing? Although I probably would agree that having good private insurance is superior to relying on Medicaid. Or are you confusing Medicaid and Medicare again?

And your statement that not having insurance is not having access to healthcare is just silly. Ever heard of money. If you have enough money you don't need insurance. Back in the good old days when there was no coverage for pre existing conditions I paid cash and got just fine healthcare for myself and my wife. And that covered one bout of cancer and several major surgeries.

I never confused Medicare and Medicaid. I made a statement about Medicaid, and you believed I was talking about Medicare. The only true evidence we have about the performance of a single payer system is the poorly run Federal health programs we currently have.

If the poor have enough cash to cover chemotheraphy why are we talking about a single payer system where the well off pay tens, if not hundreds, of thousands a year for worse access and care?
