Best guess, 20 years from now what will be the status of same-sex marriage in the US?

As far as legality and acceptance by the various States?

My guess.....Legal in most states, with other states like a Utah or Oklahoma offering "same legal status" to those who marry outside the state, though it is technically not "legal" in UT or OK. In other words, gay couples in Tulsa or Salt Lake going to Vegas or Chicago, getting married and it being recognized as legal back home.

    doubt that....

I think it goes in cycles.... it's heading towards "universal acceptance" just like it did right before the fall of all great ancient societies. Once the society falls, it will revert back to being taboo again for a couple of millinia....

Nonsense is nonsense no matter how many times it gets repeated.

Homosexuality unequivocally did not lead to the downfall of Ancient Rome/Greece. This is the correlation equals causation fallacy.

if you ever think 1 issue alone leads to any downfall.... you're the one that's flawed in your thinking. It's one of MANY issues that reflect social changes in societies that lead to bigger problems that can't be overcome.

De facto "legal". No one will be fighting it and even Red-Red States like Utah or Mississippi will simply "not NOT make it legal".

Remember the line from the Vietnam War-- "We had to destroy the village in order to save it?"....that's what you see from comments like that from Social Cons.

As they see themselves being defeated, they now decide that they want the country DESTROYED in the hope that bigotry will make a big comeback "after the rebuilding".

No, no, no....history PROVES that great civilizations collapse due to homosexuality. The Mongol Empire fell right after Kublai Khan "came out". The Mayans when they opened the first legal gay bar in Guatemala. The Spanish Empire after the debut of the TV series "Ojo Homosexual Para El Hombre Heterosexual".....

and the British Empire after Winston Churchill married General Bernard "Monty" Montgomery.

Time and time again, it's been proven.

On his way out, Obama will sign an executive order legalizing it at the fed level or Hillary will do it during her first term having made it a campaign promise.

Since it seems that getting voting rights for "undocumented citizens" is going to take longer than the Democrat party hopes, they can at least solidify the homosexual vote.

Let's face it, conservatives will never vote for Hillary nor will devout Christians. So, a campaign promise won't hurt her and it would solidify her among liberals. There won't be any white guilt vote this time around so she'll need to lock down as many groups as possible and will pander to them all.

Homosexual marriage will be the law of the land and govt over-reach will grow and grow

So again, you've already lost the war...yet feel some strange "urge" to do endless research and blog about homosexuality....a war you're already admitting you're going to lose???

    what war?

There is no war on homosexuals. The war should be on govt over-reach and stopping affirmative action as well as ceasing the creation of protected groups

Where's your evidence that homosexuality was part of that?

Neither ancient Greece nor Rome accepted homosexyality in the contemporary sense. If you can't see how parroting unproven claims such as gay people presenting an existential threat to society isn't dangerous and in need of a refutation, the flaw is all yours.

the fact that gay sex, especially with early teenage boys, was not only prevalent, but accepted, and they soon fell.

They also wore togas. So if togas came back into fashion, would that mean our society was about to collapse?

Whether or not something is considered "deviant" or not has no bearing on this debate. My comparison was perfectly valid in that there is as much evidence that homosexuality caused the downfall of Ancient Greece/Rome as there is to suggest togas were to blame.

And the pederasty of Ancient Greece resembles nothing in comparison to modern homosexuality. Adult same-sex relationships were seldom tolerated, and it was considered a cultural tradition that was necessary to ensure a boy's journey into manhood and eventual marriage to a woman, rather than a distinct sexual orientation.

I don't justify anything, that is literally the case.

How about you try and justify your claims that homosexuality will lead to the downfall of society?
