No sir, Hornady TAP is an expandable tip, it increases it's width whence hitting meat, delivering as much of it's power within the target, a frangible is a tip is one that that shatters when hitting a hard surface, protecting the hard surface from being penetrated. Frangible is for range backstop protection, hollow-point/defense ammo is designed for delivering the maximum of hydraulic shock within the targets body while trying to prevent over-penetration. And don't misconstrue frangible Galser Safety Slugs with .556 frangible. Wayne
Actually, it's higher than that https://www.usatoday.com/story/news...hows-u-s-leads-world-gun-suicides/1128184002/ And the largest group killing themselves are middle-age men. At times the suicide ratio between men and women is as high as 10:1. I was almost one of them.
Now list the countries with the highest suicide rates and tell us how many guns per capita they have in private ownership. The last part will be easy. Do you own a gun?
Why? I have always supported the 2nd amendment. I have always said that I was planning my suicide for months. In the end I chose to use a gun but it could well have been a number of other things. The only things changing my mind about guns are trump supporters. You are proving that the public is too thoughtless, reckless, and too prone to mob mentality, to own guns. You have a right to bear arms. I think that should end with guns issued by the government on loan. I have a number of guns and have since I was a little kid. I was in the NRA at age 12.
You took that from me asking you to list the countries with the highest suicide rates and their gun ownership? If you can't trust the public, then you shouldn't be putting humans in charge of the government. Maybe we could use elephants or something. As to my original point, the top countries in suicide rate don't even have access to firearms. The problem isn't having a gun. The problem is being suicidal. As you said, you chose a gun, but not having a gun wouldn't have stopped you, just like it didn't stop Australia from exceeding pre-ban suicide levels.
Ultimately both the method utilized, and the implement chosen for one to go about ending their own existences, is of neither relevance nor importance overall. The end result is the same, so there is no point bickering about how one may go about getting there. That matter aside, suicide is a matter that is not relevant to the discussion. This area is reserved exclusively for non-political firearms discussion.
I opted for the 12 gauge pump loaded up with Hornady TAP .00 for the first 4 rounds then Winchester 3.5" .000 for the next three rounds. I figure if I hadn't stopped the threat with 4 .00's it'll be time to step it up a bit more. That's only because no one else will have a reason to use it though. When my kids lived with me I kept it loaded with reduced recoil .00 in case they needed to use it to protect themselves. I taught them to aim for the hip/crotch first then once they slowed the bad guy/girl down then go for the head with a double tap. Now they are grown and have guns of their own, and I keep the Benelli loaded the way I want. Back up pistol is a Sig P238 w/hollow points. It's small but it's always in my pocket. I could use it to fight my way to my long gun if necessary.
Actually, the Judge is a notoriously poor choice for pretty much ANY application. It's a marketing hype experiment out of control. In .45 Colt, you have a heavy, unwieldy revolver with a free-bore chamber a mile long and no guarantee the projectile will enter the forcing cone correctly, undermining accuracy and bleeding velocity. In .410, the barrel is so short the powder of the shell has no time to burn effectively to accelerate the shot load, and it comes out of the barrel at very low velocity.
Not to mention poor trigger. A Gimick gun, designed to attract buyers not likely knowledgeable of guns and not likely to want to learn.
I can see only one practical use for a Judge (or any .45/.410 revolver)--a snake gun for the lake house or fish camp.
By far the best for a home invasion. https://www.tactical-life.com/firearms/special-weapons/mossberg-shockwave-firearm/
No, you'd want a shotgun you could shoulder properly for that, short barreled, and magazine fed so the length doesn't hinder your capacity.
Why would you say that? Are you under the impression firing a single shell out of that would clear a whole room?
Its still a) not going to clear a whole room or hallway guaranteed with one shell b) limited in shell count because of the length of the tube, which mag feds don't suffer from c) semi autos are superior to pumps, sorry dude d) being able to shoulder the weapon properly will give you more control over it in case you need a follow up shot and if you think that's impossible to need with a shotgun I don't know how to help you.
Yes and no, a pistol unlike a shotgun lacks the lack of leverage to be Then a shotgun is not a good deal, too easy for someone to use the leverage of the barrel to take it away from you.
A long gun in a small tent (keeps you warmer in winter) or in narrow hallway is unwieldy and works better from a tarp shelter with no sides or in a wide hallway. You can cut your small tent open, but you hate to do it until you're sure you need to, especially if your barometer has been falling all day.
Except sticking a stock on a short barrlled shotgun doesn't make it long. Its a short barreled shotgun... that has a definition you know..... Its not appreciably larger or longer than that shockwave its just not a gimmick you can't shoulder
Nah, some guns are crap for what people try to use them for. Like the judge for self defense or anything but shooting shot at snakes
