It was a place called Long-Pig Pizza, in Fiji.

You can get it with either dark or white meat.

Shout out for Costco food court pizza? Anyone besides me like them? Not the best, by any stretch, but bang for buck is huge!

Best I can remember was somewhere in Brooklyn when I was visiting my brother in law back in the 80's. No idea the name of the place, but the pizza was incredible. We walked up a narrow creaky staircase and sat at one of about 6 or 8 tables.

Mike's Pizza, Honesdale PA. At least it was, 20 some odd years ago. A quintessential hand tossed pizza, with fresh sauce and cheese, fresh minced garlic and toppings sliced in the back.

Since then, I have my annual sojourn north, where I satisfy my basic pizza needs with a good pie from Joe's, in the outskirts of the metropolitan area in NJ.

This pizza slice I got in Amsterdam was pretty good; of course, it could have been the marijuana in my system making it so good because I came home from Amsterdam with some marijuana (don't kill me) and had a Tesco value microwave chicken curry meal; on that dope, it was the best Tesco value microwave chicken curry meal I ever had! (Swear down) - so, maybe the marijuana might have been why that pizza slice I got in Amsterdam was so good.

It's called pizza pie because originally it was a pie using leftover dough and fillings not toppings. Chicago makes pizza, New York is an aberration.

A man's pie inspired by tailgating. Deep dish filled with mozzarella, brats, jalapenos, onions, roasted garlic, sauerkraut, sliced tomatoes and swiss cheese.

    Oh come on, duck pizza?

That's funny!!! One night my gf was texting that she wants pizza. Somehow her voice to text ended up saying she was getting duck pizza.

    Oh yes,
Long pig is the translation of the name given to human meat, by cannibals in the South Pacific

Whoever decided to put hot dog/wurst into pizza crusts, thank you.

Ain't nothing wrong with duck pizza.
    One of my favourite pizzas is a Peeking Duck pizza from a regional joint around the corner;
It's crispy duck, hoisin sauce base, and spring onions.

Margherita pizza from any place that uses a wood fired oven and tosses the dough until THIN.

Mozzarella, tomato sauce, and basil leaves. That's how pizza is made in Italy. I can't imagine eating hamburger pizza unless I were starving. Might as well just go to McDonald's.

Good pizza is sublime. Great pizza is a religious experience.

Growing up I had a place called Robbie T's. You didn't go there for the pizza, it is so so and their wings are better. Bu you went there because that's how awesome a dude Robbie T is. I'd kill for a slice of their pizza again.

When i grew up you didn't go out for pizza to get pizza you went to play video games.

No not chucky cheeze either. Every pizza parlor has a game room.

Nah if we went out to get pizza I would pick it up, then go back home to play video games. Time flies like that.

Where you are at and what you are doing makes a difference to the pizza as well. Some of the best I encountered was while I was stationed at the submarine base in Groton, Connecticut. My group was fresh out of boot camp and attending our first school, which happened to be going to classes on submarine systems. It was late October and early November while I was there and although cold it was not uncomfortable.

Pizza was available until late at night via the food vans -- we called them roach coaches -- allowed on base. It was not in itself great pizza, but purchasing a pie and then sharing it with your buddies while either you studied or just shot the b.s. made the pizza taste better than it really was. Good times.

Connie's (Amazing and you HAVE to get a dessert. Yum.)
    Rosati's Chicago-style deep dish pizza
Gioradano's (A little spicier than others, but very good)
Gino's East (the restaurant, not the frozen)
Beggar's Pizza (stands up to others pretty well)
Vince's Pizza (just found this one about six months ago)

Now, you have me hungry for my hometown's food. ;-) I taught myself how to make the deep dish one because I missed it so much. Not perfect, but pretty good for a non-chef.
