A detailed new report shows no racial disparities in crimes committed versus arrests made. Yes the canard, the excuse for the high rate of crime committed by blacks is only because whites and asian criminals are not arrested and are allowed to commit crime. Most crimes are victimless, which the OP ignores. Whites kids use drugs at about the same rate as Black kids. The police are more likely to stop and check a Black kid for drugs than a White kid. It has been the War on Drugs, which was created and perpetrated for the express purpose of suppressing Blacks and hippies, that has caused the rise in arrests and incarceration in the US, to the highest in the world.

My post was unexpectedly a hurried one and was directed towards the liberals on here and not you. I ment to say more unarmed white people are shot by cops every year than black people. Racism is dying and the left uses it as propaganda to control black people.

Personal experience. When I was in high school and college, I regularly smoked a little weed when I got together with my friends. Even sampled other substances. My social circle at the time included mostly high performing students from upper middle class two parent families. I still consume cannabis products at social gatherings, forty some years later, and I don’t think any of my friends have ever been targeted by the police for our drug use. Ever. Even when we were young long haired hell raisers. More than once I have seen the police look the other way as I walked on by, some even gave me a wink and a nod, yet stopped and questioned my less white fellow travelers. Seems to me, that if I was criminal mastermind, I would hire young Black men with hoodies to walk around in a regular pattern, to gather suddenly, as a way to divert police attention, away from where their eyes are not wanted.
The police. In Portland, the police haven’t been getting in trouble for their maltreatment of Blacks, but rather for their maltreatment of the mentally ill, especially the homeless, half of who have significant mental and/or emotional shortcomings. It was one of the primary issues in last summer’s protests. Most police killings in Portland tend to happen when someone is having a mental breakdown. Both Denver and Portland have begun programs where social workers are sent to deal with those having such problems, rather than the police. The decriminalization of mental illness.

Good point. Also the war on guns is a one way trip to prison for many people of color. Many people live in dangerous neighborhoods and fear for their lives, but cannot afford the high cost of legally owning/carrying a gun. Police stop them, they don't know their rights and help the police arrest them. Some drugs and a gun in the car is the recipe for keeping the prison system extremely profitable. Never mind that this is a constitutional right, throw away the key.
Strange, the MSM paints a different picture. When Portland's riots started after George Floyd's death by officer's knee. Floyd did not die because he was mentally ill. He died because he was stoned, stupid and passing a phony $20.00.
