It takes far more to operate a sophisticated aircraft like the F16 than just training pilots. Managing F16s requires an infrastructure. Who will provide that in just 4 months? NATO contractors?

Yes, strange how Bidens policy is to slow walk all arms supplies to Ukraine. His military strategy on the day Russia invaded Ukraine was to give Zelenski a fast jet ride out of Ukraine before Russia took over Kiev. Imagine if we instead had a strategy to help Ukraine win the war as opposed to dragging out the war as long as possible to bleed Russia of resources.
I see it as the MiGs and Sukhois will be phased out only as fast as they can be replaced with modern fighter-bombers.
I wonder if Ukraine wants and there is discussion about A-10s as well, or if they're considered too outdated and vulnerable at this point.
