This is a big fking deal!

    Just quoting Biden. :D

Dunno. We have the widest field of candidates I can ever remember seeing. It will be interesting to see who rises to the top. At this time I have no favorites.

Can't wait! He'll be a gaffe machine all the way until he has to drop out. Sounds like fun!

Biden is the front runner before he announced. He is the one that the Great Leader fears....

    Biden has a touchy-feely problem.
    Biden has a Ukraine problem.
And now Biden was a part of a phony Russian collusion narrative and that's a BIG problem. And don't say he didn't know about it. I know he's stupid, but not THAT stupid.

He has a lot of 'splainin' to do...

I wouldn't worry about the "Great Leader" trying to get the Democrats to throw him in the brier patch. Among Democratic primary voters, there is a very small percentage who are looking for a white savior without any intersectional points to counteract the old whiteness. Biden isn't going to get the nomination.

He may in a brokered convention, not at all unlikely. The superdelegates get to vote if the first ballot doesn't get a nominee.

I doubt Joe can win in the Democratic Primaries. I always liked Joe and if he does somehow manage to win the Democratic nomination, he'll have my vote. Not so with a few others on the Democratic side. For me, candidates matter.

    I disagree.

In a multi-candidate field (where a primary could be won with 30% of the vote) Biden could steamroll to the nom.

Would be nice. Come to think of it having such a huge field is how Trump won the GOP nomination with approximately 35% of the vote. We'll see how it goes, right now I'm not all that hopeful. But hope hasn't been extinguished.

Biden cannot unseat trump, and so that is probably who the dems will choose. As they chose clinton.

It would not be Biden who just like Obama and Hillary is a tool of the wall street elite. he is a neocon who voted for intervention in syria and Libya and Iraq. He is in the pocket of the health insurance industry and big Pharma.
    Hillary with a penis.

He is a nicer person than Trump- but that is not a high bar or a platform to run on.

I would be surprised if it winds up in a brokered convention. There are...what, 18 candidates? I bet most will be gone by Iowa.

He's the best of the bunch so far, and that's not a compliment to him or the Dems.
If he doesn't get torn to shreds by his own party he will get leveled by Trump.
It would be something to see if the Dem party, up to their eyeballs in identity politics and Meetoo, were to choose a 78 year old straight white male groper as their candidate for president.
That's not to say he couldn't win. The Dem vote will hang in there. They will support anything as long as its Democrat.

I expect at least three to stick around.

    Biden for the establishment
    Bernie for the whites
    Harris for the blacks

They say the third time's a charm.

The last two times good old Joe ran for the Democratic nomination for President, Joe couldn't even get 1% of his own party's votes.

Yeah My guess is that it will be down to 8 by Iowa. I thought that Biden coming in during the convention was his best bet to the nomination. I think the election cycle takes more from him than it gives him.

That would be a good bet for the last 3 standing.

And, in that scenario, Biden wins in a walk.

If Biden has a 300-Delegate lead coming out of Super Tuesday, because of front-loading, he will be almost impossible to catch mathematically.

Then, we get a Biden/Harris ticket.

At least he’s entertaining. Almost Trumpian in entertainment value.

With all the hatred spewed about white males, I'd be surprised to see people who are total racist/sexist support one.

I thought he was dead in the water before launching, but his rationale for running may be "I'm the only one running who doesn't have dementia"

Mayor Pete hasn't done anything nuts yet, but then he hasn't done anything. LOL
