I live in Wisconsin, and I can tell you that WI is gonna go red once again in 2020. In 2016, WI as a whole didn't like either of the candidates, but the "rural folk" enthusiasm for Trump barely pushed him over the top. This time around, the rural enthusiasm is even stronger, I feel that the Milwaukee suburbs are now warmed up to Trump and will support him more strongly this time around, and the Dem "enthusiasm" for Biden is just as low (if not lower) than it was for Hillary. If Bernie was on the ballot, then Dane County would turn out in droves for him and Trump would be in hot water, but Dane County doesn't have that same enthusiasm for Biden.

Outside of Dane and Milwaukee counties, there are Trump signs everywhere. Lake Winnebago had a HUGE "Trump 2020" carved into the ice during the Winter, and a few days ago I came across a hilled field with a huge "Trump 2020" mowed into it.

These are people who are going to be showing up on election day. Then there's people like myself who purposely voted for Trump in my upcoming State primary election just to show my support, even though I had no real reason to do so.

In short, here in WI, Biden is f****d.

I have family in Wisconsin, AND:

    Wisconsin Will Be BLUE.

Trump doesn't have a prayer of winning Wisconsin.

In 2016, Trump only got 47.2% of the Vote and won by Less that 23,000 Votes.

Compare Milwaukee County (home of a large African American Vote)

    In 2012 - Obama Got 332,438
    In 2016 - Clinton Got 288,822

Clinton Underperformed Obama by almost 44,000 Votes

The Decent Uptick in Black Vote in Milwaukee (to 2012 levels) ALONE will be enough to tip the state to the Dems.

PLUS, this time The Dem. Candidate will visit WI several times.

We can both bookmark this post and see which one of us was correct.

    Looking forward to Nov. 3rd.:salute:

You know how Biden could win in a landslide, Andy (and I'm not kidding)...? All he'd have to do is say, "Hey, Social Security recipients haven't had a decent cost-of-living raise for over ten fugging years! If I'M elected, I'll immediately provide cost-of-living increases to make up for this terrible injustice and continue them for as long as I'm in office!"

Biden would get the lion's share of the Baby Boomer vote, which is about 70,000,000 strong! Elizabeth Warren stumbled across this retiree 'gold mine' last September, and talked it up. Then, just as quickly, she simply moved back to her wearisome "social justice warrior" agenda... so, ka-splat! There went her chances of being the nominee....

Think of the Baby Boomer vote as "low-hanging fruit"... even a moron like Biden can scoop it up!

[IMG]. "CUT the bullshit and show us the MONEY! We've been screwed for over a decade!"

    Yeah.

It wouldn't be as much fun for me in a LW Echo Chamber.

Fighting the Odds (while being outnumbered 3 to 1) is more my thing.

Btw--I see the current vote is Trump 35 Biden 11. (An Over 3-1 Ratio)

Once again, a thoroughly accurate barometer of the current ideological demographic of PF.

    He "[didn't] have a prayer" in 2016 either, right?? ;) ;)

Like I said, Wisconsinites weren't enthusiastic about either candidate in 2016 (besides rural folks being enthusiastic about Trump). Dems wanted Bernie Sanders and Repubs wanted Ted Cruz. Nowadays, Repubs in WI have warmed up to Trump (and rural folks still love him). Dems need to perform better than 2016 to keep up with the increased enthusiasm for Trump. Bernie would give Trump a run for his money, as Dane County loves him, but Biden wouldn't.

...AND in the same county, Trump underperformed Romney by almost 30,000 votes...

No it wouldn't, and remember, polls are showing that Trump will have stronger black support this time around.

I'm sure they will. So will Trump.

Okay. Feel free to quote me the following day if I am wrong. There's always a chance that I am wrong, but all signs as of right now are showing very high enthusiasm for Trump in rural WI (maybe even higher than 2016), and increased enthusiasm for him in the Milwaukee suburbs that didn't turn out for him in 2016 (as well as there seemingly being double digit black support for Trump this time), so with those additional votes I think Trump will win Wisconsin.

When Hillary lost in 2016, you disappeared right around 2130 on election night and hid away for 3 months.
When will you disappear and how long will you be gone, should Biden lose?

    Agreed.

What fun is an Echo Chamber (RW or LW)?

I LOVE being outnumbered 3 to 1 (with a 24/7 target on my back).

    Hella Fun. 100% Great Times.:salute:

I grew up there but moved her to Florida 30 years ago. I miss the hunting and fishing but do not miss the winters. But of course I am still a cheesehead

Problem is Trump would remind them it was Obama that said there was no inflation. Biden will have a hard time defending Obama policies and Trump will bring them up since Biden was second in command then

Yup, the hunting and fishing is quite nice (for those who enjoy those things). Personally, I enjoy the vast hiking/biking trail system that WI has. Too bad I live in Southern WI rather than Northern, but there's still a lot of great parks/forests/trails no matter where you are in the State.

We Wisconsinites take pride in being "hardy folk", so Winter shminter! =P All kidding aside, the winters do get rather cold and snowy. Mmmmm cheese. I love cheese. WI has the best cheese!

I lived in a small town called Rosedale that is 10 miles from Fond du Lac. Florida is much better in the winter time

Yup, that's a beautiful area. I've done plenty of hikes in the Fond du Lac area.

I'll admit that I sometimes think about Florida being in the 70s when Wisconsin is well below freezing.

If the best that the United States of America can come up with this year is Donald Trump versus Joe Biden (after all the other sh!t we've had in the White House so far in the 21st-century), then we're probably no more than another ten years away from the Russians and Chinese replacing us at the top anyway. With any luck, I'll be dead by then. The "Rational Middle-Class" in this country is completely SCREWED today, and it's little more than an exercise in perverse "self-loathing" even to bother to vote anymore....

But, the rest of you can "enjoy the ride" as our wrecked airliner heads toward the ground, picking up more speed all the time.

    Trump 77.6%.

Very Representative of the Current Ideological Makeup of PF.

I wonder if PF will ever get any more LW Members?

It would be nice (at some point) not to be outnumbered by such an overwhelming margin.

    I will soldier on (regardless).

But, it would still be fun to have a few more LW Members.

Wish I could see the 11 folks who'd vote for a senile old pedophile for POTUS.
