    I'd like to see a Federal rule that no Federal job may REQUIRE a college degree. None. If someone wants to educate themselves in another manner, more power to them. If the States follow suite, expect the whole college scam to collapse. More meritocracy, less legacies, waste, fraud and abuse. Instead, the Left wants to prop up the entire corrupt enterprise at the expense of young people that need to be free to start their lives rather than grow too old and broke to make families and a future for our nation.

    Funny how the Trump supporters like to keep people uneducated. Talk about expanding your base.

    At one time, Republicans believed in education. But now they trash education as liberal indoctrination.

    I went to school on a National Defense loan. Republicans then pictured having educated citizens as a key to America's strength.

    Low interest rates are key.

    Free community college will weed out that would normally rack up a couple years of loans before dropping or flunking out.

    This country is in need of educated people. 2016 showed us just how dumb a lot of Americans really are when they voted for a known fraud and liar in Trump.

    Nice rant. But Republicans are in favor of school choice and reducing the bloated cost of college. Democrats are 100% behind teachers unions and forgiveness of student college debt which is a green light for colleges charging as much as they can get away with.

    You can choose your post secondary education.

    See, you righties see education as supporting the evil unions. How naive can you get.

    Most states have the obligation to educate every child. They do this via the public school system. If you want to send your snot nosed brat to Christian school, pay for it yourself.

    I’m advocating for low income parents who are invested in maximizing the education of their kids.

    Teacher unions don’t care about students.

    Teacher union negotiate for better text books, smaller class sizes, more classroom supplies. Why would they do that if they did not casre about the children.

    School choice sucks money of of public schools where most poorer students must attend.

    Correct. Get kids to leave school at 13, go to a hospital. Start out emptying bed pans. OJT, labs, certs and licensing. In 20 years, debt free with decades of working experience? They'll be better docs, merit based, and will bring down health care costs.

    They care about the teachers more. Smaller classes mean more union members. What better textbooks have they negotiated for ?? Name one. What classroom supplies have they negotiated ??? Many public school teachers who are all union members and pay dues spend ~$500 out of pocket on supplies. My wife was one of them. Where are the union supplies ???

    School choice sucks NO money per student out of the public school system. Low income parents are overwhelmingly in favor of school choice. Why is that ???

    Why are unions responsible to supply the classrooms?

    I have actually been on a school board & I can attest that better supplies & textbooks are in their negotiations.

    Smaller class size has been proven to improve education.

    When a child opts out of a public school system for a cyber school, the school district pays for most of it. It is costing school districts hundreds of thousands of dollars every year.
