Though he seems to think Trump should do just that.
2/3 of our budget goes to welfare programs. You want to cut the military. Don't get me wrong, the military needs a haircut but half? Really? Ok, take us out of every nation and put the rest on the border. I'm good with that.

I actually think that every dollar of cut spending should be matched by a dollar of increased revenue. Cut where you will, but it's gonna cost you an equal amount of raised taxes. Spread the pain.

That's a stupid plan. Why would you want them to spend more?

It would be a net cut.

Are you familiar with Stephanie Kelton's book The Deficit Myth?

It would be a net cut if you believe that Congress would cut spending to get a tax increase. That is a bad assumption. Congress would simply spend more to avoid a tax increase.

Only a person who been born-again stupid over and over again would believe this nonsense:
Fox’s Maria Bartiromo Argues The Best Way to Stimulate the Economy is More Tax Cuts For the Wealthy
    [IMG]
Bartiromo, a supply-side socialist, is not aware of the importance of demand in a supply-and-demand economy.

"Recovery" is a code word for the Democrats to hastily cancel advances in economy, confidence, Illegal immigration and freedoms, gained during the Republican administration.

How the heck are you paying more than half of your income to the government when the highest tax rate is 37% and social security and medicare are less than 8%?

Finally! Lets raise the revenue we have already spent on three wars, and countless initiatives over the last 30 years. Its long past time. My kids should be paying for their public policy decisions with their money. They did not vote for either Bush, or Clinton or Obama or those Congresses who voted to spend, but did not vote to tax. That was us! Its our responsibility to pay our bills.

Did you forget about state tax, property tax, sales tax, rental tax, gross receipts tax, and whatever else someone decides to put a tax on?

    LOL

If we get lucky, perhaps the "progressive" Nobel laureate in Economics you're talking to would care to explain to us how the best way to stimulate the economy is lining the pockets of the nomenklatura and apparatchiks in Washington.

Now that is what I call supply side socialism...

Ah, least you forget that is was the liberals whom were eviscerating the president for him wanting to keep the economy going, but left it to the states to determine lock down policies. And then to blame him because the economy went to $hit because of COVID and liberal policies (can you say Florida). The left know no bounds! Seriously, screamed 'No way that we can get a vaccine by January' and 'I won't trust a rushed vaccine by Trump' to 'Thank goodness Biden got us the vaccine in record time'!

The media hardly even has to try these days because you all just eat up the propaganda like it was Sugar Snaps!

Biden planning first major tax hike in almost 30 years

First major tax hike in almost 30 years???

    What a crock.

When was FullRetardCare passed - during the previous Democratik administration a little over 10 years ago?

For those, along with federal income, social security, and medicare taxes to result in someone in California paying more than 50% of their income in combined taxes, the person would have to be making over a million dollars annually, spending almost all of it on something other than paying down debt, and own property worth over $10 million. (That's based on a few different tax calculators I found online.) So that's why I was asking.

For all of those to combine to mean more than 50% of income going to taxes, a person's income has to either be over $2 million, or be over $1 million, all of it being spent on something other than debt, and they have to own property worth more than $10 million.

Recovery is code word for recovery. Y’all always seem to leave us in a recession. Third Republican president in a row to leave the nation in worse shape than they started.

My feelings are in attempt to rectify the budgetary issues we face as a nation. I am willing to make sacrifices but will not do so alone. If the nation fails because others are not willing my contribution will be meaningless and is better invested in assets in my escape plan / vacation home.

I think one of your posts proves that's really not the case ;) Just like the mega rich that say the very same thing you have stated here, they too are not willing to make the effort alone..

And there you have it Sir, welcome to "I like my Money, so lets tax the poor" ;)
