Since when is that the role of the federal government and where does the Constitution state it as authorizing such policies? Let alone the fact that there is no economic benefit and in fact such taxes never produce the income promised while taking more capital out of the economy and mere shifting the spending from one person to another even if you could enforce and determine the wealth of all those people who would be effected.

 

While China is on the verge of surpassing us military leaders already saying we stand to lose a conventional conflict with them and were that to occur then no telling what Iran and Russia would do in the Middle East. Yea that's a plan let them all take over the rest of the world.

 

Take out Covid and realize that Presidents do not control budgets and get back to me. In the meantime I posted about REVENUE and tax rates and posted the numbers. Refute them or admit the tax rate cuts produced the largest increases in revenue growth while Clintons tax rate increase slowed a very strong revenue growth. Given the history why would you want to raise tax rates especially NOW?

 

ONCE AGAIN, the above-mentioned Capital Gains tax cuts haven't generated a whole lot of revenues, HOWEVER, if investors have bought millions of dollars worth of Goods and Services with their realized gains, then good for the economy.
