Biden to nominate a black woman to the USSC

MAGA folks care a great deal about skin color. And identity politics.

 

And yet, Joe Biden chose a running mate, and will choose a court nominee, based on their skin color and their gender...
... both to thunderous applause from the left.

 

That's what we people who pay attention to reality and truth call a lie. We do care about identity politics because we are tire of Democrats using it to demonize people who disagree with their loathesome ideas. We cheerfully embrace anyone who shares ideas regardless of skin without bothering to insist they kiss our ass first or bow down to us as did BLM.

 

And that’s where we disagree, and I will not expect to change your mind. But I think conservatives are FAR more likely to live up to Dr King’s words than are left wingers. And I think liberals would rather perpetuate a myth instead of admitting that social change for the better has happened.

 

For the record MLK Jr was highly influenced by communism.

But worse than that the fbi says they have an audio recording of him from his hotel room where his pastor friend raped a woman and MLK Jr is heard laughing about and encouraging the attack to continue.

Now we might say the FBI is biased against MLK so maybe they’re lying since the records haven’t been unsealed. However the FBI unsealed the records for ONE MAN. That man was an author who had previously won a Nobel prize for his work on MLK Jrs biography from years ago.

That author confirmed the FBI did have the tape and he heard it. Now unless one is going to argue that the man whose most prolific life work was a biography of MLK Jr that is widely renowned for its accuracy and being the best biography of MLK in existence is for some reason torpedoing his own career by lying about how the man he lauded for YEARS was complicit in rape... the only conclusion one can come to is:

MLK Jr was a monster

 

Yet Justice Roberts was roundly insulted by Trump and the MAGA for allying himself with the Liberals, considering that the Conservatives were making decisions that he considered too political.

First question I would ask a Muslim nominee would be does US Law take precedence over Shariah law.

 

To me, no big deal. SCOTUS justices are chosen for their political views and ideology anyway, not as the best qualified. So on average half of all justices are dismissed because of their political views even if the dismissed half has the most qualified justice.

Biden adding race and gender to political ideology, no big deal. He has already dismissed half of all judges anyway based on their political leanings. Best qualified never enters the decision. So in my view, this is business as usual.

 

Apples and airplanes. People expect a conservative president to nominate conservative judges, and liberal judges to nominate liberal judges. That is based on mutable characteristics. Shared visions and beliefs. What people don't expect, and don't want, is nominating someone based on immutable characteristics such as skin color that have absolutely nothing to do with anything. Most people consider such racist.

Many lawyers are qualified for such a position, but females and blacks are underrepresented. Joe makes a great job, as always.

Absolutely. Also, it' demeaning to black women. And setting the candidate up for people to say she was only nominated because she was black. He can do what he wants but he has a habit of saying too much.

 

Nobody claimed that. The selection process was determined by Biden. You must be a Black Woman to qualify.
So should I be allowed to hire my employees based of race now? This is the new selection process?
