I didn't claim "Covid" is a hoax. The way the elites have used "Covid" as an excuse to commit crimes against humanity is the hoax. They're using the propaganda of fear.

Never in history did we lock healthy people down or shut down businesses. Covid has been a slightly more lethal flu strain than the 2018 flu outbreak. The lock downs were a programmed over-reaction, and even normally sensible officials fell for the hoax for a limited-time.

Neither you nor Biden understand the mental and emotional aspects of economic performance. This why we continually had economists "surprised" month after month at the failure of Obamanomics and then equally "surprised". month after month at the smashing success of Trumponomics.

No sooner is it clear that Biden will be taking over when the "surprised!" at the downside returns. His entire term will likely be like this, though we may get a sugar high in the aftermath of big stimulus dump, but beyond that, we are likely in for a lot of surprises at the downside followed by finger pointing.

Then when a Republican, like say Desantis takes over, that understands the emotional and mental aspects of economic excellence, the economy will respond, we will return to upside "surprises" followed by attempted credit grabbing by the Democrats, just like they did with the Trump Boom that was immediately apparent.

With post COVID snapback, Biden could crawl back into his basement and do nothing and see 6.5% real GDP growth. Even with him screwing up everything he touches we could see 4.5% in spite of him.

The GOP has no means to stop stimulus. The only reason it is still delayed is because they decided that pursuing their personal vendetta against Donald The Magnificent was more important than COVID relief.

Many parents can't return to work because union Democrats refuse to return to the classroom.

Depends on who you talk to. Pharmaceutical companies during trial runs on humans for tests, if a person dies during the test they will mark it as failed for the drug even if that person died in a car accident for example.

And claiming that they died of covid-19 rather than the heart attack or the cancer is just as stupid. They have no way of telling for sure so they just guess. And right now claiming that it is covid is more advantageous.

There is no need for this huge stimulus and the best thing Biden could do right now would be to get out of the way and stop trying to inject himself into this recovery trying to claim some credit it for it, his proposed policies will have negative effects on this recovery just as they did the first time he tried them. The unemployment rate is heading to under 5%, the unfilled jobs heading to record levels. Get OUT of the way Joe and stop threatening to increase the cost of business and investing.

 

I've head of the Federal Reserve, but what's the Federal Reserve of Atlanta? A branch of the Fed? Didn't know they had branches. The article does state, more than once, that their GDPNow forecasting model provides a running estimate and not official numbers.

As for the bit that I bolded above: Do you mean economic policies? If so, how much influence did Biden have over that realm as Obama's VP? Or do you mean the stay home/wear masks/stay distant pandemic policies? If so, what influence did Biden have over any of that prior to Jan. 20?

 

I find it comical that there are people who think the economy can change at the flip of a switch. The current economy is based on what happened in the past. This is always the case. The economy doesn’t change on a dime just because a new president is in the WH.
