Bill Weld is going to primary Trump, I don't he will succeed. I think the republican voters are firmly with Trump. Besides it's just another conservative who loves tax cuts for the rich, doesn't impress me any.
Weld is conservative? Who knew? I for one welcome him to the race. Trump needs a primary challenger. Otherwise he won't get the free publicity that televised debates would bring, and the debates should be quite a show.
He doesnt need a challenger for that. He can just add 'we're building a wall' at the end of a tweet and every leftist media outlet will cry 'racist!' and broadcast his tweet for him.
Bernie really impressed me at the fox news town hall yesterday, I don't know if anyone caught it. It seems like the fox news audience even liked some of his ideas.
I think you're forgetting Weld doesn't like Trump. He said this morning he's an embarrassment to Lincolns party.
Whether I agree with that statement or not, I'm just quoting what he said. I'll just say this Clinton campaigned on Trunps personality in 2016 and not the issues and look where that got her. Noone cares about Trumps behavior or personality, they care about policies.
Bingo, so that's why there is not going to be much of a legitimate challenge to Trump in the GOP primary process. The GOP establishment doesn't have an agenda to compete with Trump's agenda, and neither does Weld. Of course Weld isn't in to win; this is more a form of self righteous virtue signalling, and maybe a book afterwards.
One of two republicans that I have voted for, he and Ed Brooke. From the Rockefeller wing of the party more liberal on social issues but conservative on fiscal issues.
I think everyone is tired of the establishment on both sides. They have screwed us for over 30 years.
A wolf dressed in sheep's clothing often attracts the gullible, and there are a lot of gullible people in the world.
I think the only one so far that could draw votes from both Republicans and Democrats is Howard Schultz; but not enough to get himself elected.
