    Do you realise malaria kills more people in China than any bird flu ever does or ever will?

    Do you realise that mosquito borne diseases kills over one million people globally each year and very little is done about it?

    bird flu isn't the direct concern, the concern is what it may mutate into...an airborne virus that is transmitted from person to person while keeping the lethality of H5N1...if that occurs mosquito borne diseases will be a minor annoyance in comparison...another "spanish flu" outbreak is the concern, the spanish flu is estimated to have killed between 50-100 million, a similarly lethal virus with todays rapid global transportation systems have the potential to far exceed that death toll....
