    Did you know that on this date, July 9, 1868, all of the black people in American became American citizens due to the 14th Amendment?

    I'm happy for them. Too bad the party most of them belong to don't give a hoot about citizenship because it discriminates against the rest of the world.

    Are you familar with the Naturalization Act of 1870?

    Summary
    The Naturalization Act of 1870 explicitly extended naturalization rights to all “aliens of African nativity and to persons of African descent,” while denying the right to all other groups of non-whites, particularly Asians. This law promoted integration and equality for African Americans, but maintained racial distinctions that denied naturalization rights and access to citizenship to Asian and other nonwhite immigrants.

    That is what happens when people don't express themselves clearly in written communications.

    The SCOTUS ignored the 1870 Naturalization Act and created the anchor baby boom. They violated the Constitution because Congress has the power to create the naturalization process, which it did by the 1870 Naturalization Act. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Naturalization_Act_of_1870. As a matter of law, Congress could have told the SCOTUS to go get bent and that it had zero aurhority to interfere in the naturalization law.

    Sorry to burst your little bubble, but slaveholders were Democrats. Andrew Jackson, Robert E Lee, Jefferson Davis, Confederate generals etc... Democrats shouldn't deny their racist history. FYI they also voted AGAINST the 14th amendment AND the 13th amendment which freed the slaves. The Republicans passed both.

    All partys ideologies, morph, expand, change overtime.
