And yet another reiteration of willfully ignorant fringe right wing talking points and mantras empty of critical thinking. Here's how I schooled one of your like minded compadres on the subject: http://www.politicalforum.com/index.php?threads/black-folks-listen-up.574212/page-6#post-1072103976

I was reading about the Dunning-Kruger Effect today, it turned 20, and something I did not know was that it effects experts in a subject. The experts underestimate their knowledge because they are aware of what they don't know and the complexity of the the subject.
I bring this up because what we have here is the other side of the coin as it relates to the Dunning-Kruger Effect. Some overestimate their knowledge and see a problem simplistically and are overly sure of their conclusions and tend to make false assumptions. Add to the mix confirmation bias and we have a person that has left critical thinking behind.

And everyone else whom the general public disliked. My father was almost killed twice because he was an intellectual. A pure White Anglo Saxon Protestant who had been to college and taught these people's kids for a living. A sort of generalist all-over bigotry characterizes many people and is one of humanity's major flaws.

The police tried to kill your father because he was an intellectual?

    Sorry. Not buying it.

Not the police, just people. My father liked the police and taught me to treat them as friends. I can't help but think that a lot of the troubles we seem to have with police could be avoided by not just respecting them but viewing them as friends who we want to help because they want to help us.

ALL of the bullsh** we see today would disappear if people did that. Career criminals who are drunk or intoxicated who fight the police get exactly what they deserve.

USA has the highest Incarceration Rate in the World.

African Americans and other minorities are punished harsher then white people for the same offense.

But US Penal System is very harsh overall.

People with Disability are also vastly over represented among the incarcerated. Fortunately my parents help me -- thus I did not slide into a life of drugs and crime.

If not the police, then relevance of this anecdote is zero in this thread.

Ah, the racist notion that all black people are the same.

Did you include all the black cops, police chiefs, and mayors that run the police departments in your analysis?

Yeah, I think all black police and black mayors know there is a thing called systemic racism because they have encountered it throughout their career. Does that answer your question?

Tell me more about how you imagine their life experiences were without any evidence to back that up.

I don't think you understand what "systemic" means.

I like Trevor Noah but I found the above repugnant.

No I do not buy the above. It is self indulgent. When things are unfair, feeling sorry for yourself is self defeating and pointless.

The above is a feel sorry for yourself message.

All of us have bad things happen to us. What we choose to do when faced with them is our destiny, our life lesson-our choice to make. Our choise is to use the negative as a catalyst to overcome the negative with a positive result or give in to it and let it govern how we define ourselves.

The above defines blacks as victims. Oh if only I was not black....to hell with that...Oh if only I was not black? How about he re-wrote the above to say instead:

I am black the cops need not fear me
I am black I need no gun
I am black I will live if I choose to live

I sense you have a low opinion of my intelligence because you think I do not know the meaning of a common word. That's okay, because I have a low opinion of the knowledge behind your opinion.

Most black officers say fatal encounters with police are a sign of a broader problem and that our country needs to continue to make changes to give blacks equal treatment. That sounds like they want systemic changes.
In a survey 91% of black officers say racial profiling occurs. That sounds systemic.
Black officers say they have been the victims of the same hell as many who have been mistreated by law enforcement. That sounds systemic.

That's interesting, because black officers are three times more likely to shoot a criminal than a white police officer.

    https://www.sciencemag.org/news/201...icers-are-quick-shoot-statistician-wants-know

Q: You also found that black officers were 3.3 times more likely to shoot than other officers.

A: I opted not to put out a press release on this one, simply because I thought that would end up being the dominating story. In fact, Jim Fife [a key researcher in this area], when he first noted 30 years ago that black NYPD officers were twice or three times as likely to shoot, faced a lot of criticism, even though he also said they’re working in different environments. I don’t have the luxury of sort of explaining away that finding.

I looked at what was available of your little WaPo article.

    From it:

Detective Luther Hall was working undercover during protests that gripped St. Louis in 2017 following the police shooting of a black man, when several officers in riot gear rushed up to him.

Before Mr. Hall, who is black, could comply with their demands to get on the ground, he was body slammed by an officer, according to court filings. The 22-year veteran said the white officers punched, kicked and struck him with batons before a SWAT team member recognized him and hustled him away.

So your evidence that black people are targeted is police, during a ****ing riot, were quelling a riot and an UNDERCOVER detective got caught up in it. Funny how the racists in the police force kept beating him after they recognized him.

Oh no, wait. They actually pulled him to safety after recognizing him.

Please explain how there are so many black police chiefs, detectives, officers, etc. as part of a systemic problem. Anecdotes of some undercover detective getting caught up in a riot are evidence of nothing, and certainly not evidence of anything systemic.

In fact, black people are OVER represented in local and federal governments. At 12% of the population, they are 18% of the federal workforce.

    That's not systemic anything.

Okay, ignore the fact most black policeman believe the police do racial profile and they believe the country needs to make changes to give blacks equal treatment in the legal system. Ignore the fact those things are systemic and instead cite a study that says NYC black cops are 3.3 times more likely to shoot. I am not sure how that disproves systemic racism in your head. A single city's statistics hardly proves a national trend, but I've noted right-wingers like to cite it. If it were a national trend that would not disprove systemic racism in law enforcement. The only thing it does is make NYC black cops look bad.

And your little anecdote from the WSJ story didn't demonstrate systemic racism? (During a protest, not a riot, officers rushed him) "Before Mr. Hall, who is black, could comply with their demands to get on the ground, he was body slammed by an officer.... the white officers punched, kicked and struck him with batons". Interesting. And the fact that black officers are in positions of leadership does not disprove systemic racism exists, it would be something they are trying to change.
Here is a little more evidence: https://www.washingtonpost.com/grap...cism-police-evidence-criminal-justice-system/

    Oh really.

Do you personally know most black policemen and their feelings on they issue or do you have any actual data to back that up?

Seems to me that if racism was systemic....you'd have systemic statistics to back that up. None of which you have offered up, outside of some undercover cop getting caught up in a riot. That was a convincing argument right there.

LoL you think that the police going after a black guy during a riot is proof of systemic racism? How many of the cops were black? It's hilarious that leftists simply ignore the fact that many police officers are minorities themselves.

So what disproves systemic racism? No black people are targeted in a riot....only white people?

Actually black officers in positions of leadership shows there isn't systemic racism. If it was systemic racism, the system would not allow them to be in charge.

Black people are OVER represented in government. Yet you talk about systemic racism.

Your "evidence" doesn't link to anything.

In sheer numbers, the Police in the line of duty kill twice as many whites as blacks. So Noah's post is just self serving divisive bs. More importantly is that per capita, blacks murder one another at five times the rate that whites murder whites. That's outside the influence of the law, police, and system, btw....just flat out killing. Even more alarming is the fact that blacks murder whites at twelve times the rate that whites murder blacks. This too is outside the influence or involvement of the system....just people killing one another. This helps to explain why twelve percent of the population(blacks) makes up forty percent of this nations incarcerations. Behavior, behavior, behavior. The reason for this poor behavior is simple. There is a dearth of Fathers and Husbands in black households. Seventy percent of black births are out of wedlock. So when the left or anybody, great or small, tells you about systemic racism and discrimination on this topic, you can know that they are either ignorant or lying race baiting politicians. Blacks are not victims of society. They are the victimizers, not only of themselves but of everyone else in society. Of course this is just a generalization and not a condemnation of all blacks. But it is a factual generalization. It goes to the home. If whites had as high of an out of wedlock birth rate as blacks, you'd see a massive increase in murders and crimes by whites. It is not the result of being intrinsically violent. It is the result of there being no Husbands and Fathers in the homes to raise the children properly. That's the root cause of it all....the breakdown of the family structure.

"Do you personally know most black policemen and their feelings on they issue or do you have any actual data to back that up?" I left you citations to back that up. Is this a case of willful ignorance?
You cherry picked an anecdote out of multiple other examples from the WSJ story and said see, that proves there is no systemic racism while distorting the facts (there was no riot going on) and then you say I can't use it to demonstrate there is systemic racism...a double standard.
Studies have shown the overall effect a Black police leader has on fatal shootings is “large and significant.”
"Black people are OVER represented in government"? There are 55 black mayors in the US for 19,000 cities and municipalities. What's that work out to....0.3%

    Also ignore this https://www.nytimes.com/2020/09/11/us/black-police-chiefs-reform.htm

Clearly, you're purposely not reading what I write or are incapable of comprehending such. Case in point, I wrote in no uncertain terms, "Now mind you, the numbers game doesn't do a damned bit of good for the victims or their surviving family members. But what it does establish is that black folk are not rampaging through the country killing willy nilly as some would have us believe..... This does not excuse the crimes " No one with a high school GED would interpret that as "making excuses for criminals". What I did was just do a better job of analyzing the stats that people with a racist bent against black folk are so eager to skew to their propaganda.

The rest of your "proof" is behind a pay wall. I worked with the available information.

The fact is, there is no business that won't bend over backwards to hire a minority. There is no police force that won't do the same.

There is no government agency that doesn't give preference to minority businesses.

There are specific SYSTEMIC laws to give priority to minorities over other races.

There are no groups or systems in the US with any standing in any way that allows racism against minorities. Well, except for Farrakhan's anti-Jewish supporters.

Minorities make up anywhere from 12% to Detroit where it's almost 70% black.

Perhaps if voters were more concerned with the abilities of the mayors they were electing, instead of the color of their skin, they could have avoided Lori Lightfoot. But no, let's elect the black gay woman cuz diversity.

I liked your last article that talks about the Police Chiefs quitting in Democrat ran cities like Seattle and NY. That's nice.

Then of course you have them stepping down in places like Dallas because of claims of "racism".

Here's a hint why they're stepping down: racism isn't the problem.

Besides, I agree that there are racists in America.

The best way to find racism in America is to be a black conservative.

Apply your "logic" to the FACT that the vast majority of welfare recipients are single parent WHITE WOMEN. ....the vast majority of rapists are WHITE MEN....THE VAST MAJORITY OF SEXUAL DEVIANTS (pedophiles) are WHITE MEN .... the vast majority of illegal drug users are WHITE men ... the vast majority of mass murders in the last 30 years are WHITE MEN. No generalization, just FACTS. LOOK IT UP IF YOU DARE!
