Have you ever heard that some chinese people eat dogs and cats? have you ever heard that they cut your hand off in the near east if you steal? have you ever heard that japan hates hot china, and france hates england?

All of these are stereotypes that are blown out of proportion. i mean, if some very poor person gets very hungry, they may eat their cats and dogs, i cannot imagine you would find a thriving industry off of this. if some guy gets his hand hacked off for stealing, well, i do not see humanitarian outreach programs for the near east, so it cannot be that often.

People should think to themselves before they approach a stereotype. these are very exciting to hear at first, and the news spreads quickly with this wild ideas, blown out of proportion, so it is coming from you at all angles, so you believe it to be a main stay.

Yeah, but Koreans and Chinese do eat dogs. Its a delicacy. They breed as fast as chickens and have more meat. I don't see whats wrong with them eating such things, especially if it keeps them fed.

Yup, its the whole joke of "being accepting" as long as you do what I do.

I travel to Malaysia and Hong Kong twice per year and usually try to throw in another couple days at (fill in the blank) Asian country for a mini-vacation. The last time I was there I had "Fish Head Soup" with a giant fishead just staring at you in a bowl of soup.

Was ..... ok, but I am not a big seafood guy so there is that. But yeah, people are still as judgmental as ever, they just think "my way is the best way and if you don't do it you are mean/evil/racist/stupid/etc.
