Would that make them happy? They could just have their own country with their ideals and spread hate amongst themselves?

We need to make this happen. We can't get along, nobody wants to compromise, it's hell on those stuck in the middle.

If there is nothing else we can agree on, can we figure out how to agree upon this and just do it and be done?

Counties, cities, library /fire districts, neighborhood watch groups, congressional districts did not decide to enter the union. Nor was your electoral map remotely material. States did it as states. And its as states, reversing that process, that the voters should choose to leave.

What if Lincoln was wrong? Maybe the problem with the civil war, was the 'war' part of it.

I suggest you look at the populations of those red counties - nobody lives there. Almost all of the population is in blue areas. And Biden had almost twice the number of votes as trump in 2020. So if the folks in red counties don't like it, they are welcome to move.

This is where county maps are very deceptive. They tell you nothing about population. If you look at counties, the US looks very red. But if you look at the will of the people, it is blue. If the Senate had fair and equitable representation, if it wasn't heavily biased towards red states, if it actually represented the people, red states would be irrelevant.

And we all know the electoral college is a joke. The single most important job it had was to prevent someone like trump from ever being elected. Therefore it has no function. It is worthless as is the Senate.

    Wyoming has about 581,000 residents.
    California has about 39,000,000 residents
They have equal representation in the Senate - two senators each.

WHAT A JOKE! Each person in Wyoming has almost 80 times the representation as California. That amounts tyranny, not democracy.

And people think it was bad counting a black as 3/5 of a person. Californians are counted as 1/80 of a person compared to a person in Wyoming.

No, my friend. In politics, there is give and take and an ebb and flow. The right doesn't win every battle, nor does the left. We should be humbled and grateful to all of those who have given everything, including their lives, to create this country. Everybody needs to stop acting like a bunch of over-spoiled, entitled little arrogant brats and GROW THE F-UCK UP!

I notice you only showed CA. Look at eastern/southern WA and OR. Those people are NOT going to cooperate with a blue country. They will not recognize their laws or authority, nor will they pay their taxes, nor will they move. And there is no way to make them. Remember, all of the people living in those red areas are citizens of the United States of America. No state, under any circumstances, or with any law, can change that.

The court nor the government "gives rights". I asked about THIS ruling what was the political part of it? Yes I see a difference, the constitutional side and the liberal side. What the conservative side says is the PEOPLE should decide through their representatives not judges. That our founding principles should be followed such as your right to life that began at your creation.

If you allow for states or counties to succeed the union now can the former Confederate States sue for reparations?

Depends on how many seats the Reps take in the mid-terms. Heck if the Reps wanted to act like Dems they could impeach Biden, then refuse to confirm a Harris pick for VP and impeach and remove her for dereliction of duty and violating her oath of office and that they just don't like, you know the current state of impeachments, and whoever they choose as SOTH would become President. Would they have the kahuna's to do it like the Dems would, I doubt it.

Best case scenario, GOP gains 1-2 in the Senate which is why I made 15 the minimum to get to 67.

Oz and Walker being poor candidates will most likely make the # closer to 18

and ignoring the extreme likelihood that 15+ dems Senators would vote to remove Biden, there is virtually no scenario where they would remove Harris to install a GOP SOTH

However, if the GOP wants to be as silly and vengeful as the dems in waste of time impeachment hearings, then they are no better

"The court nor the government "gives rights"'? Yes they do in the legal sense. I see your partisan spin, the "constitutional" side and the liberal side. The "constitutional" side would be rulings you like. So you don't like other liberal interpretations of the 14th Amendment too, like legalized contraceptive availability, interracial marriage, gay marriage, homosexuality, and school integration. Those things conservatives are and were against and left to majority rule over minority rights some would still be waiting if you had it your way.

They seem to be forgetting that most of those "red" areas in the West are empty land - Forest, desert and plains and mountains.
The "Blue" areas are the centers of commerce, shipping, education, research and high tech, and the creators of the tax base.

Why? Do you prefer civil war? Do you think secession will be legalized? Are you willing to live with the corrupt and biased SC now in place? That may stay in place for decades. What is the path forward?

If you don't follow the rule of law, you will
    ABSOLUTELY have a civil war.

    Late edits.

And no, we are ignoring Federal Law now and no one cares. Incrementalism makes sense.

Do you seriously think DC is going to attack the West Coast?

    It will never happen!

Each person in Wyoming counts as almost 80 people in California, when it comes to passing Federal Law in the Senate. That is typical of red states - all land and few people. And almost everything has to go through the Senate. The Senate is a highly biased red institution.

And they call this a democracy? This is a rigged system and is not sustainable.

California's #1 industry is agriculture. In 2015 it contributed $47.1 billion to the state's economy.
In Oregon, agriculture accounts for 13% of the state's GDP.
In Washington state, agriculture also accounts for 13% of the state's GDP and adds $51 billion (2021) to the state's economy.

Not bad for "empty land", huh?

There is zero chance you can make those people in those rural areas become a part of a new country. Any attempt to force them would fail. Trust me on that one.

They can be replaced then. What are they going to do, form an army? They are outvoted. And there are plenty of liberal farmers.

500 people and their dogs don't get to hold an entire State hostage. That is the entire point! That is called tyranny!
