Illegal entry from sea almost doubled last year and is expected to be even higher this year. Don't be surprised if there is a repeat of this.

Walls can be gone over, around, under, and smuggled through. It doesn't address the immigration issue.

Why is this a crisis? They didn't immigrate to the UsA. That's the purpose of a wall.

That is why Biden got elected. To make it happen.

Would you remove your front door locks because they can come over walls?

Front door locks of what? The country?

If you mean my house, front door locks would be worthless without a roof or wall around the entirety of my house.
    Pretty stupid question you had.

If illegal entry from sea is increasing, it suggests that the wall might be working.

I think that's a disingenuous an analogy. There might be another open area which someone can get in, but it can still make sense to put up a barrier on the entrance point which is easier to get in.
Of course it will not deter all unwanted entries, but it will reduce them.

An intruder could break through your window, but that doesn't mean you don't lock your door.

It would be really stupid to put up a very expensive barrier, only to have many other breaches around, over, under, or even be able to sneak right on through.

If one doesn't address the real issue, all the bandaids in the world won't fix a problem.

That's why they were trying to put up walls on all the easier to sneak through areas.

Look, if it made absolutely no sense to put up any wall, why was the department of border patrol supporting the construction of more wall?

I recall reading somewhere that they generally were taking folks up the cost to Canada where is was easier for them to come in from that side of the border. In this case, they were definitely in a vessel that needed a dock to offload unless they had a tender craft which they apparently did not.

They are not going to go to a dock, because there would be more people there who would be likely to report the arrival of this suspicious boat, and coastguard patrols are also more concentrated around docks and ports. They were probably trying to get in unnoticed, with fewer people seeing them.

Well that boat was not designed for beach landings as evidenced by them being run aground on a sandbar. The operator is in custody, so maybe they will figure it all out. Being in federal waters, however, makes it a bit of an added wait and see.

I don't know. So they can go patrol the Pacific Coast, the Atlantic coast, and the Gulf of Mexico.
They are wide open. As the OP shows, the immigrants will just simply go around the wall.
